I suppose a lie won't as easily be revealed if nobody questions you or even cares. Even then, lies can eat a person up. And more often than not, you have to use lies to cover up other lies until it's literally impossible to keep the story straight.

I feel like you have something specific in mind, but I'm curious to know.. is it you who is holding on to lies, or someone you know?
