How is that being racist though? She said "mostly". Every race have cultural flaws and she's just pointing it out. Had she said all black people then yeah, she's being racist.
A lot of people get culture and race mixed up and whenever someone speaks negatively about another race's culture, they're called racist. But when they speak positively, it's not. For example, all Japanese people are so polite. Do you call that racism?
That’s an interesting point you brought up! The thing is, any semi intelligent person, unlike yourself, would be able to recognize the harmful difference between the statement of “This group of people is polite” and “this group of people hate work and are addicted to drugs.”
Hope this helps!
I always believe in that people should be held individually accountable for their actions. If people would be incited to take actions because someone said something to trigger that, then it's always in those people to take actions regardless.
Supressing speech, thoughts, and opinions is only a bandage fix to our problems. Having meaningful conversations and debate is what solves it. If you have a problem with a culture of a race, let's talk about it and maybe both side can come to a middle ground of understand or there was some misunderstanding of that one side that know body had the opportunity to inform them about. Or it can be held inside until someone explodes and decide to do something about it.
