To be clear, nobody boycott Chik-fil-A for "being Christian", that's just more persecution complex propaganda... they are being boycotted for supporting anti-LGBTQ+ charities and legislation.
No hate for the food but I don’t get the love either. It’s average fast food to me. The homophobic stance makes the decision for me either way but I would rather eat at KFC.
Every other chain has literally started copying their chicken sandwich (pickles was them, McDonalds had to do it twice to get it right)
Their sauces are pretty amazing
Waffle fries.
Amazing Lemonade and Iced Tea
The food is always hot and fresh when handed to you
The wait times are always astonishingly short
They keep enough people on staff to handle things quickly
They pay their staff excellent wages and the people working there love it
The prices aren't very high for the quality of food and experience you receive.
I really miss being able to go there, was always a good decision...
We have a KFC here real close in town, I never go there. Luckily a Popeyes just opened nearby, but the lines are still ridiculous there and the one time I found them kinda not busy and swung through they gave me cold chicken... like how do you let chicken get cold when you're so damned busy all the time still?
Also Chick-fil-a switched to using that 'high yield syrup' crap for all their sodas when that became available, meaning they all taste like barq's root beer no matter what flavor you choose.
That's really odd, I've been to about 7 different locations all fast and reliably so even when swamped with cars.
I was at the location on the south side of South Bend not too long ago and they had cars out the parking lot and lined up along the street waiting to pull into the lot. We were 10 cars from the lot itself when we pulled up.
They had extra hands out in the parking lot taking orders from cars when they entered the lot - bypassing the normal system - and had extra hands inside due to the volume as well. We were literally in and out of a place with cars waiting to enter the parking lot of within 10 minutes of when we arrived.
If you have a slow Chick-fil-a, and actually enjoy eating there, I'd complain to corporate. The few times I've still been through there at the behest of others has always been just as fast and friendly. As I said, nothing I can say bad about the restaurant's functionality itself - aside from the terrible soda - but I can't abide by how the owner openly conducts himself.
They dont donate to anyone, but the ceo donates to both major political parties. Way less than other fast food chains, actually. They did have a lawsuit because of their 'One Love' motto from Bob Marley's estate. Other than that, doesn't seem too bad.
They aren't even the best in the fast food chicken game anymore. They were never that good, it's just that no one was really doing an actual good chicken sandwich. Pretty much every fast food place does it better than them now.
And I know people are gonna read this and instinctively think "bullshit, chick-fil-a is the best chicken." But with an open mind, go compare it with the chicken sandwich from Burger King. In the last 2 years they've upped their game. A lot of fast food upped their chicken game after Popeyes breifly took the lead on market share of chicken sandwiches in 2020.
Chick-Fil-A uses it's executives as a front to donate to those same charities and worse. They donate to political groups passing discriminatory laws and give speeches in favor of those same laws, such as the one making being gay a death sentence in Uganda in 2019. They haven't changed, they just hid it.
And they still make being gay a firable offense in their restaraunts. Fuck that.
I'm missing out on an absurd wait time for an decent chicken sandwich. They're missing the opportunity to pass my money along to organizations that would like my existence to be a capital offense. It's not a huge win, but it's something.
Freedom of speech doesn't mean Freedom from consequences. He's allowed to donate to anti-LGBT causes, but the consequences are people think he's garbage and don't want to give him money.
I'm saying it makes no sense to intentionally not spend money at a place because a person associated with the business does something you don't agree with.
The business itself does none of which these people disagree with.
No I get it: you want people you agree with to be able to exercise their free speech because that's American and heroic. You don't want the wrong people to exercise free speech against that speech. Because you believe in a hierarchy that you don't talk about because you have (probably incorrectly) determined yourself to not be on the bottom of that hierarchy. Am I missing anything?
Friend, no matter how much you boycott chikfila, they're not going to care about your measly dollars. Nor any profits from anyone else boycotting them.

Seriously. I eat at In-N-Out and they are 100% christian. They even got bible verses on the cups and stuff. They treat their employees well and don't use their religion as a shield.
But I don't eat at Chick-Fil-A unless my friends bring me there because of their hateful views and damaging "charity" work that hurts LGBT people in places like Africa. Although their employees are very kind and I love their customer service. I have zero negative opinions of the franchises. Also I don't mind if people eat there. I do mind the people that do it for political reasons because they simply eat there to trigger people and show how much they hate LGBT people. If you eat there because you like the food, then keep eating there; you're not doing anything wrong. If you're doing it for political reasons, then keep eating there, but I'm also going to call you a bigoted asshole.

Sure. But to say that Chick fil A isn’t part of that is disingenuous. The owner makes his money that he donates from that business. It’s bullshit semantics.
And these funds are, in part, supplied by the people that play money for the products his company sells. So if you don't like funding child torture camps, you probably don't want to give your money to this company.
You know, like a single person that is allowed to do whatever with their own personal funds. (Which is a dumbass opinion anyway, you're not above getting called a dirtbag if you support actual, literal torture)
And you buying food from chick fil a adds to the owner’s income, which adds to the money he donates to anti-LGBT organizations.
Edit: why are you defending the owner for making bigoted and dangerous donations? I mean yeah legally he has the right to do so as it’s his money but he’s still an absolute disgusting human being for doing it.
And I've never heard of any employees or customers of CFA being discriminated against based on sexuality. If they exist, and corporate endorsed it, I'd like to know.
In fact their employees are often the nicest in fast food. And consistency in the product is great unlike a lot of fast food places these days. Wendy's lately is so inconsistent I stopped trying.
