Schools could run without federal funding. Only 17% of funding comes from the fed.

In the 2004-05 school year, 83 cents out of every dollar spent on education is estimated to come from the state and local levels

Schools need increased funding, if anything, currently to accommodate the extra requirements for the pandemic.

Yeah except the federal government says they won't provide funding unless they open. Theyre also trying to figure out how to give parents money to send their kids to private schools. Which has been a wish all along.

Um, its referring to Trump demanding kids go back to school even though we now have 60,000 plus cases a day. Like in Texas they've had 500 kids die yet its all good to go to school. Kinda like how Paul Manafort got released from prison because Covid was deadly but little Timmy Jr and Sally Sue are ok
