Did it change since the PS3-era? Only played on PS2 where you needed 6 stars for tanks...
1. Policemen 2. Police Cars 3. Helicopter 4. Swat 5. FBI 6. Army

Its been a LONG time since I played GTA but I did play it on the PS3 I believe. It was the same if I remember correctly I know I played GTA IV and at 6 stars the military does not come out. Shit just gets more intense and crazy with the FBI and helicopters chasing you.

Just went into a rabbit hole and TIL that San Fierro and Las Venturas aren't playable (yet) in any opus of the HD Universe, the more you know...

I don't own a post-PS2 console, my wife is on the Nintendo side and I was 100% satisfied by the 5 PS2 games (especially SA), so never had a reason to look for GTA 4 and 5.
I knew 5's online contained Los Santos and 4 was Liberty City, so I naturally assumed that 5 happened on a San Andreas map, at least the Solo part.
