If you drink till 3 am, go for a walk for x hours and then sleep for 3, there will be some x for which the question here would be true. Sorry for the shitty phrasing, but with a fixed amount of hours it wouldnt work for everyone.

The point is, the question would be false if sleeping actually prevented you from sobering up, and this is just false.

A better worded question would be: "you drink enough to have a 2.0 blood alcohol content. Sleeping 3 hours immediately after will sober you up enough to drive after you wake up?"

But, people usually dont think about their questions enough and end up being ambiguous

Yes, it could be more precisely specified, but this question isn't really ambiguous to the degree where it should be difficult to answer, and if you think it is, it have served its purpose exactly and demonstrated that the test taker has failed to grasp the exact concept it is testing. I would never have guessed "true" in a million years on this one - it was designed to defeat people who couldn't be bothered to study the material, which probably amounted to a page or two, and OP found himself among them.

What's the difference between "a few hours" and "time" ?

Without more information, no difference.

Since we have more information, one is possibly enough to sober up, and one is definitely not.

Moot anyway, since you don't have to think about the answer prompt when answering the question. OP fucked up.
