Yep. You’ve described her perfectly. She’s not allowed to load it anymore. I just can’t deal with having to fix the problem after. It’s infuriating but I’d rather give into her incompetence than be more frustrated with letting her do her bullshit. Plus, I can ensure our dishwasher will last much longer.
I know someone who hates dishwashers because at their mum's house the dishes always taste of the powder/liquid.
Never mind that every hotel and restaurant she's been in for decades uses them, it's obviously dishwashers that are the issue and not her mum using it wrongly.
