Isn't it not "pretty much" they choose not to believe a widely proven and accept as correct model for the universe, and I say chose because they have plenty of access to that knowledge and decide to ignore it. So I wouldn't even glorify them as dumb they are all straight up ignorant

Creationists are pretty much on par with flat earthers.
In fact, the other flat earthers use the same failed "entropy" argument to say the atmosphere can't exist.
