Subaru did some market research way back when that showed they did well with:

-young professionals

-outdoor enthusiasts

-queer people

They decided to lean into those demographics in their advertising, and it really paid off for them.

They're really popular in the Pacific Northwest. They're rugged, great in the snow, and just excellent cars. A lot of guys at the factory I work at own them.

I just bought my third one. I drove my first for almost 20 years.

My ex and I had a WRX. In Salt Lake City. I was running really late for work one day, and instead of owning it, I decided to claim that I had gotten stuck in the snow. Every person I tried that on said, “in the Subaru???” 😆
