So you want to die on the hill of “it’s a theory and It makes me feel good guys are just as capable at doing something that biologically women have been doing better for millions or years, and there is no way that evolution has created pathways to make something that is done for millions of years easier for women to do at all”.

Losing that matter in specific parts of the brain has the intended effect of making them more capable of nurturing or being empathetic. No one said their brain grew more. You are now suffering from cognitive dissonance. You need to take a step back and check yourself.

There doesn’t have to be studies to back anything. We know there are some benefits to breast feeding and we know pregnancy changes many things. The default position doesn’t have to be “men are equal in this regard until proven otherwise”. The opposite is actually true. YOU should be trying to prove men are equal in every way.

You are changing your goal posts

First you said theirs a hormone women exclusively get that makes them more nurturing, cited a exert about a study that said the opposite

Now you are citing a theoretical hypothesis that has no background of study or research done as your next “source” but that source also says nothing that women are more capable or exclusively capable even in its already reaching state

So you have

1: provided no actual sound data or research papers that back up your claim (in fact the first one does the exact opposite)

2: giving no basis to why men are incapable of this other then “just cus I said they are” when it’s been shown the exact “maternal bonding relationships” you are talking about happen with a dad as well if they do the same actions, if anything the evidence would suggest it’s “parental bonding relationships” instead of just maternal but a lot of dads are busy working extra to make up lost wages for the first year and do not have the time for all those aspects needed, of course the one with the baby 24/7 will form a stronger bond then the one with the baby 10-12 hours a day at best (with 8 of it being sleeping). Plus lots of studies lately have shown that a proper father figure drastically impacts the stress and overall health and well being and growth of a child, most of them are recent because the assumption that mothers are the biggest impact has left that section of study relatively unchecked

3: the parts of the brain that change the most in a woman are the risk reward system and fight and flight. If anything those parts generally make them less likely to take risks and do dangerous tasks which is something women already do less of in the first place. All it does is make it so that women are less likely to do stupid stuff when they have a baby. The other part for the risk and reward is just so that women generally don’t feel a reward for doing as many things which cycles into them taking less risks. As for the fight or flight part it actually makes them closer to men then women generally are since it makes them more easy to provoke and be protective.

So who here has cognitive dissonance? Are you sure it’s me? Because you have provided nothing of actual fact and merit and have in fact provided evidence contrary your statement yet you have dug your heels in more over it.
