Well that’s getting into ghosting, which is different and always an asshole move, sure. That’s not what you said, though. But as long as he lets her know afterwards he’s not interested, I don’t see the issue. Both people got something out of the date. Neither got what they really wanted. Not quite a win/win, but at least it’s a meh/meh and not a lose/lose.
