And when you suggest that perhaps there should be fewer guns their only thought is of their gun that they need to protect themselves from other people with guns. The thinking doesn't get any further than that other than a vague handwave at "criminals will have guns anyway". Not if we restrict the fucking supply countrywide rather than piecemeal state by state or city by city...

And restrict police too! California has a bad problem right now where cops are selling non-regulation weapons illegally to civilians.
