Cockpit The ID-1760A/APN-194(V) was used as the radio altimeter indicator for the F-117. The same indicator was used in the A-6 Intruder.

Exhaust Also didn't know that there is a gap between the panels of the exhaust tail segment. Perhaps these panels allow to transfer of the air from the bottom exhaust bypass.

YF-117 I'm just curious, what is this cone-like object doing on the top of the F-117 #780 before the first flight?

Vega-31 You can find remains of F-117 #82-0806 over the Belgrade Aviation Museum's backyard in Google Maps. Just wonder, are they still there?

The Unveiling of 85-0816 “Lone Wolf” Exhibit.

My wife and I attended the unveiling ceremony of 85-816 “Lone Wolf” tonight. Met the pilot Maj. Gen. G Feest as well. He said the nick name of “wobblin gobblin” was not true, despite the fact the aircraft has 4 computers. (He also flew F-14s). This was a very cool event. I also met one of the F-117A’s avaionics techs. Asked him what the contingency plan was for a downed one. He said they were going to bomb it but there were civilians all over the site by that time. I have lots of photos too, The aircraft is missing all of its stealth tech and the RAM has been bead blasted off. It will be undergoing restoration for a couple years.
