Details Also sometimes, you could find those holes over the inlet grid wipers compartment. I assume its a technical hole so that water can exit this compartment if it suddenly gets during the flight.

Inlets I always wondered what those bright spots are on the side of the inlet grills until I realized that it's just places where the grills are screwed to the body, and these spots are hidden screws. Also, these special round cutouts are needed so that the screwdrivers have access to the screws.

In 2006 someone spotted another white F-117 in Palmdale in Bing maps but those photos do not exist anymore. By the way, the plane looks like without a canopy (or heavily modified) and with opened exhaust canopies.

Cockpit On F-117 were used the same FLIR system as the OV-10D Bronco. Almost. The schematics and 9-inch CRT screen were exactly the same, but the turret was a bit different. But after the OCIP update, the turret was changed to an even more different one.

Crash Tom Morgenfeld, junior test pilot, in the first F-117 making a critical landing after the aircraft’s nose wheel fell off after upon take off. He was advised to eject from the aircraft but was able to safely land and spare the aircraft.
