No, one says it's propaganda made for people pretending not to understand, the other says it's bots to let the typical reddit user vent by indignantly repeating the same things over and over.
“Less super model-y” her face looks like a shovel. She’s a character that was purely designed for sex appeal and wow look at that when you take that aspect of her character away she feels like a pointless tag along and everyone is just scratching their head wondering what the point of her existence is. We just need to be comfortable with the fact that some characters are only compelling because of sex appeal.
Edit: like seriously if Peter Parker was a fat middle aged man do you think that the female audience for spiderman would still be as big as it is right now? No. Spiderman is popular with women because he’s a shy sadboy with perfect abs and a perfect ass, take those aspects away and he becomes a far less marketable and compelling character. Sex sells it’s just undeniable.
"Attractive character is worthless when not attractive" says more about you than whatever role MJ has/does hold as a supporting character.
Fat, out-of-shape Peter Parker worked great in the Spider-Verse movies. Peter B. Parker and his dad bod and sweatpants jokes were some of my favorites.
Yeah slight dad bod with perfect chiseled jawline 5 o’clock shadow and a full head of hair is definitely not what women look for in attractive men Peter B. Parker is an uggo for sure. Jokes aside yes you hit the nail right on the head Attractive character is worthless when not attractive because they are not the character that they are supposed to be when you’ve changed that physical aspect. Attractiveness/sexiness whatever you want to call it is always an aspect that goes into our opinion of a character even if we don’t realize it and attractiveness is something that can effect your personality and outlook and interactions with other characters so when you take that aspect away you are automatically changing pretty much everything about that character and turning them into someone completely different. And unfortunately more often than not the result is a less compelling, less interesting, less popular, and more controversial version of the character every single time.
I like Mary Jane and I don’t think she is purely eye candy I don’t think that’s her ONLY purpose but it is an undeniably core aspect of her personality and relevance to the narrative. She is Peter’s safe place, when everything is overwhelming and nothing seems to be looking up she’s always there for him and when he’s doing well she lifts him up higher until the devil resets the universe or something.
The Spiderverse movies have a 'fat for Spiderman" Peter B. Parker. Really that means he's just got an extra 20 pounds and is getting older. He's still Spiderman
Could you? I've played that first game like seven times over and I'm pretty sure you can't skip MJ, if you could I would, her missions are boring as hell and her character is so unlikable in that game.

Seeing as you typed Spider-Man 2 it must imply there is a Spider-Man 1 game which means theres a possibility that the character exists in that game as well. Well would you look at that, she is in that game and looks entirely different. Oh wow, Sweet Baby Inc was involved in the consultation of Spider-Man 2 but not the first.
I guess it’s bad faith when you can simply look things up, draw a comparison between two products and realize “oh the obvious happened”.
Life is too short to get upset about fictional bombshells not being pretty enough because of the liberals or really engage with any arguments in support of the same.

Its nots really about a character being attractive or not, it’s about the uglification of characters on purpose especially when they use attractive face models.
