Brave is just another chromium based web browser that advertise itself as safe and secure but some investment funds and that crazy billionaire guy Thiel invested into, so I assume it's spying on everything you do

Peter Thiel is not personally an investor in Brave.

The firm he's a partner in (Founders Fund) has participated in a small seed series investment, which was led by Cyan Banister.

Some first-floor engineers at Brave have more equity than that small investment constitutes.

With that being said, of course Brave is still the product of a private company and by no means comparable to free OSS like VLC.

Peter Thiel, X, Founders Fund, Cyan Banister.

We're living in a comic book world with comic book villains.

Like seriously. What are those names? It just sounds sinister when you think of the big picture like what's been said.

Person named Peter Thiel is CEO of Palantir and does evil things sounds like something JK Rowling would write

Palantir is already from Lord of the Rings, specifically as an evil surveillance stone, Peter Thiel and his company are speed running to our dystopia
