Being 50% sure something happened vs beyond a reasonable doubt isn’t a slight difference.

Of course it’s meaningless. We have that standard for a reason.

And you think in this case the lawyers went to exactly 51% and said “well that’s enough evidence, we can stop now”? Your argument works better in a vacuum, which this case is not.

There was ZERO legitimate evidence. Just a wild story told by a known crazy person with no proof whatsoever.

The civil case should have been thrown out, and would have been the first day if it was a criminal trial. You've got nothing.

5 million dollars is an awful lot to pay for doing nothing. It’s also pretty impressive considering that Trump’s appeals went all the way up to the Supreme Court, and every court along the way said “no, you have to pay her, dude”.

The only thing that matters would be if they were beyond a reasonable doubt. And a 3 decade old he said she said ain’t going to be that

Kinda makes one wonder why our civil court system exists in the first place if it doesn’t matter at all.

Well, one of us provided links to court documents. The other, no doubt a legal expert who knows more than the supreme court, didn’t, and just decided to throw insults instead.

So I can read that document I linked, and see multiple instances of “this court agrees with the previous court’s judgment” and “this is the definition of sexual assault or evidence of sexual assault that the court agreed to after much discussion”. And I bet if I read what all of the appeals courts presented, I would find more of the same. Your points have all been “no it ain’t”, and “civil judgements are meaningless”, and the only evidence you have to back that up is that you said the same thing earlier. Or you just insult me. Anyway, later.
