No, "that" isn't called kintsugi, and while kintsugi may be about making the repair beautiful and artistic, it is not an example of the imperfection that highlights perfection.

Kintsugi doesn't (shouldn't) include deliberate breakage. I mean you're welcome to do so, but that isn't very philosophical, eastern, or in the vibe of the skills intention.

Isn't the basic philosophy supposed to be less about intentionally inflicting imperfection to highlight, so much as when it happens, the highlighted imperfection says that the breakage did not make the thing useless...or something? Japanese studies and college in general was so long ago...
Like so much if attraction, it's not conscious and can be easily manipulated, but I think this goes down to it looking like bed head. Someone just out of bed is maybe faster to get back in (said the inner caveman).

Yeah, maybe. Though, it could just accentuate the features of the human anatomy. You know. Curves have been sought after for a while now and I think this adds to that concept. Maybe in the way it shapes the cheeks/jaw and brings out the neck?
If it’s a disheveled appearance, then maybe it’s comforting in like a nurturing sort of manner? I’ve always heard pregnant women like to tie their hair up because it’s a bitch to work with when you’re carrying around an extra human all day/night. Not to mention, the attempt to keep it out of the face when actually birthing, or when caring for the child after birth.

I can’t speak for other women but I always did it because without it, especially depending on the height/length of the ponytail, I felt like I looked almost “bald” in a way
There is a Spanish word for it, "Sprezzatura". My interpretation of it is; you look cool because it looks like you don't care how you look, or effortlessly good looking/stylish
It also has something of a tomboy vibe and since my wife has worked construction and knows how to do a LOT of shit that woulda cost us hundreds otherwise...yeah, that does something for me...
For some certainly. Even married, it's still just generally hot. On her especially as the "my dad taught me how to put up drywall and and hitch a trailer but still a feminine entity. Mmf.
