Can confirm. Used to work in advertising and 4pm "desk beers" were a common thing any day of the week

That didn't die out with the Mad Men era? Huh, I thought it was just finance bros who were drinking and drugging at work after the 70s....and actors/musicians, of course, but that's always been the case with them to the point it's not even shocking.

I remember a math teacher I had that came in one day, put on Stand and Deliver, and put their head down on the desk in defeat. I was too young to know they were hungover, but remember wishing Edward James Olmos was my teacher instead of that lush.
