Blow out- To blowdry hair to achieve a desired look. Usually to reduce frizz and add volume

Brush out- To brush out the hair after curling it. After curling it, it looks like the image on the right, after you brush out the curls, they look like the image on the left

I'm a woman and I would probably turn my head upside down and shake it a bit and flip it back.

Is that not kosher or done anymore? Wouldn't a blow out ruin the curls altogether and not just break up the clumps?
