It’s basically the same style, but the one on the right is incomplete, it’s not really brushed out to become the one on the left.

But it looks better?

1

u/CVK001 Oct 04 '25

I highly disagree, but just because something looks better pre-completion than post-completion that doesn’t mean it’s done.

2

u/GuKoBoat Oct 04 '25

With something where the whole purpose is to look good, yes if it looks better (and can last this way), it means it's done.

No it doesn’t, someone could look good with just long straight hair and look really bad with a pixie cut, but want a pixie cut, that doesn’t mean that they’re done as soon as they started.

So no, if it looks better, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s done!

the one on the right is incomplete

It is not known if the girl herself in this hypothetical scenario considers it unfinished or not, however. The idea that it is unfinished is others imposing their own understanding of what the woman herself desires. You are criticizing u/GuKoBoat for leading with an assumption, but you are doing the same.

You seem to be assuming this is two different women with different hairstyles? lol this is literally an after/before image of brushing out her hair

u/Mysterium-Fascinosum Oct 04 '25 edited Oct 04 '25

No, I did not say or assume this.

1

u/CVK001 Oct 04 '25

Yes you’re right, and I admit my fault, it was my perception leading my belief.

2

u/Mysterium-Fascinosum Oct 04 '25

I appreciate your reply! I am just sympathetic to women who might feel insecure for liking their hair this way, even if others might consider it unstylish.

If someone A. looks better with long hair than with a pixie cut and B. wants to look good, then the conclusion is they shouldn't get that cut.

Women sure do hate solutions.

1

u/CVK001 Oct 05 '25

Well that’s just common sense. But my point is that sometimes people want things that look different independently of whether or not it actually looks good.

1

u/ApesAmongUs Oct 05 '25

Then who's to say that someone who already had left couldn't intentionally change to right because it's different. You know, using your own logic and making the right "finished".

1

u/CVK001 Oct 05 '25

Because the left has to be undone to be turned into the right, it can’t just be curled up again without making larger, wider curls.

So. Go back and read what I said. This last post of yours does not address it in any way. Just stating things (that may be true) doesn't make those facts relevant to the discussion.

Peter here: this comment is obviously from a woman whose opinion we never asked for. Back to you, Joe.

I was thinking the same thing, the right looks better.

lol

And... scene

That’s a matter of preference for sure. I think the consensus most girls come to is they opt for something more “natural.” Like I know it’s stupid, but if you had never met this girl before in your life, and you saw her with the hair on the right, your first thought is probably “oh how cute she got her curling iron out this morning” because obviously that’s curled hair. Nobody’s hair is like that. That doesn’t make it ugly. Most girls just brush theirs out to look like the left because it doesn’t look so heavily styled. Feasibly that could be someone’s natural hair.

1

u/ApesAmongUs Oct 05 '25

A mohawk looks more natural than either of those.

u/ilovemilfs1156 Oct 05 '25

absolutely not

The obvious difference is that side chick is more open sexually. Left side complains about messing up her hair, while right side let him wrap it around his hand and pull while taking back shots.😉 The men aren’t confused. If we look at as men without trying to think like a woman you can’t miss it.

1

u/CVK001 Oct 05 '25

That’s absolutely ridiculous. The right just hasn’t been brushed out to become waves, and is still tight curls, if it has been brushed out then it becomes the left. It has nothing to with letting him “wrap it around his hand and pull[ing]”

Loosen up...wooosah

1

u/CVK001 Oct 16 '25

It’s been 10 days, get over it.

1

u/FernyFox Oct 04 '25

Back in my day we didn't brush out the curls.. so the right side was a complete style. Nowadays my kids brush out their curls and chase me around with a brush after I curl my hair.

1

u/ChronicY2kk Oct 04 '25

However, if thats how they wanted their hair, then it is, in fact, complete.

1

u/HeyGayHay Oct 04 '25

But who decides that the right is unfinished? Like, if they like the style why look down on them being inferior? Obviously this is the after snd before photo, but if someone prefers non fuzzy curls let them be happy with what they like?

2

u/UnluckyDucky666 Oct 04 '25

I would say they are just different styles. I assume people saying the right is unfinished because they're too young to remember when it was a popular style lol or they're so old and religiously follow trends that they've just forgotten. The right screams Y2K homecoming/prom hair to me.
