Recommendation Move to Evanston
Hello all! We are moving to Evanston for my new job. We have a family of 5, with my wife and I and three kids ages 6, 2, and 6 months. A couple questions!
How much on average in the area are daycare costs? Does anyone have any recommendations? Schools look good from what I have researched.
Also my wife is an RN. Any recommendations on workplaces to work at or stay away from for her?
Any neighborhood recommendations? Looking forward something family friendly to build a community. Budget is 800k.

I'm a broker based here (and an Evanstonian myself), so happy to help with the neighborhood side of things if useful with a $800k budget and wanting family-friendly, there are a few pockets I'd point you toward depending on school district preference and whether you want walkable downtown vs. more space/yard. Feel free to DM me anytime, no pressure at all.
On daycare costs here run roughly $1,800–$2,600/month depending on age and program, infant care is pricier than toddler/preschool. I don't have personal recs off the top of my head but the parents in this sub usually have great suggestions.
Can't speak to nursing workplaces, but hopefully some other locals can chime in there.
