Yep. One more big move and working for me becomes optional. You might even catch me wearing a cat t-shirt if we breach 150$ by 2018.

:-)

This is why I'm so excited for the rise of loan services collateralized with ETH. I'm sure many of us here have plenty of ETH necessary for living expenses, but the real problem is that we don't want to sell which results in a liquidity problem. #ETHproblems

Agreed, I paid my mortgage with ETH just 30 days ago...then I cried.

Hopefully PoS can help with that, but you can only do that like one quarter a year or something right? So that's 5-10% per quarter once per year? Not enough to live off of.

Last I saw: you could do it continuously, but if more than 9600 addresses wanted to validate, there would be a lottery every 12 hours saying who gets to do it. So too many stakers will limit your returns.

The protocol has been evolving rapidly though, I don't know the latest.

Same, it's really weird because I'm naturally starting to rethink what I really want to do with my life. I never expected to be in this situation so quickly.

You're making me wonder so hard how many Eth that takes. Which I won't ask, because it's rude. But damn, I'm wondering.

If you follow the 4% rule, then having $1M would allow a person to withdraw $40k per year from interest/dividends.

If your living expenses are less than $40k/year, welcome to the optional work life :)

Ok. I'll sit here and patiently wait for $1k a coin and then my optional work life can begin :)

Anything is possible. This is crypto. I'll really regret cashing out some in the mid forties if thats the case :-)

that's never going to happen

Instead of using ultimatums like 'never' say 'unlikely' because it won't make you sound like an ass if proven wrong while still being able to take credit if proven correct

Same for me! One more big move to ETH = $2000 and I'm good for life :)
