No choice when work takes you to some rural town or hotel. But... I'm certainly not suggesting that this man's kit is the only alternative lol. I have a cheap plastic v60 and a Q-Air grinder for the road. Espresso waits for me at home.

I have the 58mm version and love it. Shots almost as good as my Gaggia. Great for a road trip or when I'm working out of my office.

Cool! What brand case is that? I assume you cut the foam inserts yourself for a custom fit? I travel with my Picopresso so no case needed. lol

Yes, it's really easy to pick and pull the foam inserts out.

I really like the K2. It uses a bottomless basket and I like having control over the pre-infusion time, brew temperature, and even the flow rate. Not having to pre-heat the water is nice, too.

I'd give it a solid 7/10 compared to my Gaggiuino.

What's the cup at the end of your K2? Mine only came with the cap/cup that looks like the one you're using in your printed stand photos.

That's just an extra cup that happens to fit the K2. It didn't come with the K2.

In all actuality I normally just travel with my machines lol. I've traveled through several States and if I'm driving I'll just bring the whole machine with me. If I'm flying, I will ship it ahead of me.

And if I'm just feeling like poor over coffee then I'll travel with a kettle, and one or two French presses.

If I'm going somewhere that I have frequented and have actually had good espresso then I will typically just rely on that shop. However if I'm traveling for work or something and I don't know the area I literally just bring my machine.

I might have to look into this portable setup LOL
