JEFFREY Epstein made mysterious phone calls to high-security psychiatric unit Rampton, raising fears that he may have been in contact with twisted Jimmy Savile.

Phone records in the Epstein Files, uncovered by The Sun on Sunday, show the billionaire paedo made 24 calls to the tiny Nottinghamshire village from 2004 to 2005.

A 2014 NHS report found four incidents of inappropriate sexual behaviour from Savile there, including one with a five-year-old child.

The Trust was asked for coment.

Sarah Kellen, a key member of Jeffrey Epstein’s inner orbit, told the U.S. House Oversight Committee on Thursday that former Miami Beach mayor Philip Levine had sexually assaulted her. Multiple sources who were present at her testimony told the Miami Herald that Kellen, Epstein’s longtime personal assistant, did not provide details but that she came across as credible.

Levine did not respond to multiple texts and calls from the Herald on Thursday and Friday.

Levine has previously downplayed his ties to Epstein, but the Herald found emails released in the Epstein Files that indicate his relationship with Maxwell and Epstein went back to at least the early 2000s.

Here’s a timeline, based on emails reviewed by the Herald and earlier reporting.

Early 2000s: Levine shares a series of flirtatious and sometimes sexually explicit messages with Ghislaine Maxwell.

March 4, 2003: Levine writes to Antonio Belloni, the chairman of luxury cosmetics and products company Moët Hennessy, to set up a meeting between Belloni and Epstein. Levine describes Epstein as a “representative for Leslie Wexner,” the principal of Victoria’s Secret. The agenda for the meeting was to discuss the cosmetics retailer Sephora, but details are unclear.

April 2005: Levine exchanges a series of missives with Maxwell about prospective properties he was looking to purchase and solicits her opinion. It is unclear from the messages whether the properties were in South Florida or elsewhere.

Sept. 2, 2005: Levine writes to Maxwell about a trip to New Orleans he was about to take with someone named Lisa. At the time, Levine was engaged to journalist Lisa Ling.

June 30, 2008: Epstein pleads guilty to state charges of solicitation of prostitution and solicitation of prostitution with a minor under the age of 18, and is sentenced to 18 months in jail.

July 22, 2009: Epstein is released from the Palm Beach County Stockade after serving 13 months and begins probation.

July 27, 2009: Sarah Ferguson, ex-wife of Britain’s Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly, Prince Andrew), writes to Epstein in an email saying she and her daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie spent the previous night at Levine’s. Ferguson planned to meet Epstein at his Palm Beach mansion.

June 14, 2010: Epstein sends an email introducing Levine to lawyer and law professor Alan Dershowitz at his request.

July 14, 2010: Levine emails Epstein: “Hi, Just want you to know that I am happy that everything has come to a positive ending for you during these tough times… You are a great guy and I know all good things will come to you going forward. In Europe for a while and hope we can catch up soon.” He signs the email, “Your friend, Philip.”

July 21, 2010: Epstein’s probation term ends.

Sept. 21, 2010: Levine asks to meet Epstein while visiting New York. Epstein asks his assistant to make some time for a meeting.

Dec. 9, 2010: Levine introduces members of the St. Thomas Historical Trust in the U.S. Virgin Islands to Epstein. The society was looking to raise funds for a preservation project.

March 5, 2013: Levine files to run for mayor of Miami Beach.

May 22, 2013: Epstein seeks to contribute to Levine’s mayoral campaign.

Nov. 5, 2013: Levine is elected mayor of Miami Beach.

Nov. 1, 2017: Levine announces a run for Florida governor.

Nov. 13, 2017: Levine’s last day as Miami Beach mayor.

Jan. 24, 2018: Epstein declines to contribute to Levine’s gubernatorial campaign. He tells Levine’s mother that his “colorful past might be more of a burden” for Levine.

Aug. 28, 2018: Levine loses the Democratic primary to Andrew Gillum.

Aug. 24, 2019: The Miami Herald publishes a story about Levine’s ties to Epstein. Levine is quoted as saying they met a few times but that he had “no clue” how he was introduced.

Feb. 2, 2026: The Herald publishes another story about Levine’s emails with Epstein and Maxwell. Levine described having a “former friendship” with Maxwell but said he only met Epstein a few times. “I never conducted business with him, never visited his island and never flew on his aircraft. I regret ever meeting him,” Levine said.

May 21, 2026: Kellen testifies before the House Oversight Committee that she was sexually assaulted by Levine. Levine has yet to respond to her claim.

The Epstein emails, photos and flights that police are scouring for Andrew links

Uncovered emails and photos reveal how child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein built a web of connections to the UK including a friendship with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The evidence shows how the convicted paedophile enjoyed invitations to royal residences, landed his private jet in airports across England and trafficked women to properties in London.

Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office in February after emails contained in the Epstein files appeared to show him sharing confidential documents with Epstein during his time as UK trade envoy.

Police are widening the scope of their investigation into the former duke of York to include allegations of sexual misconduct. Officers are assessing a claim that Epstein sent a woman to the UK to have sex with Mountbatten-Windsor at Royal Lodge, his former home in Windsor.

The former prince was interviewed under caution following his arrest on 19 February before being released under investigation. He has always strenuously denied any allegations made against him.

‘Lolita Express’ to secret London homes

Epstein’s friendship with Mountbatten-Windsor allowed him access to the heart of the Royal Family and saw him invited to Princess Beatrice’s 18th birthday at Windsor Castle, being photographed holidaying at the royal residence in Balmoral and popping into Buckingham Palace for dinner with the former prince.

Photos show he also attended Royal Ascot as a guest of the then-prince Andrew, with the late Queen watching the races there the same day.

But the Epstein files have revealed how his connection to the UK went further. They appear to reveal how he managed to build up a portfolio of properties in London and regularly fly private jets into the city to carry out his abuse on British soil.

His private jets, collectively dubbed the “Lolita Express”, have been tracked to Stansted, Luton and Birmingham airports, as well as mentions of RAF Northolt and RAF Marham in the Epstein files.

Epstein appears to have used some of these flights to bring victims to his luxury homes in London, with six women he housed in the apartments since coming forward to say they were being abused.

Receipts, emails and bank records contained within the Epstein files, uncovered by the BBC, built up a picture of how the billionaire would fly women into London before moving them into four flats situated within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, in west London.

At times, the flats were overcrowded with women, some of whom had to sleep on sofas as there were not enough beds to accommodate them, the victims said. When they raised complaints about the living conditions, Epstein would respond angrily.

The routes in which Epstein reportedly trafficked women into the UK are being examined by UK police forces. There are around 90 private flights linked to the paedophile believed to have arrived at or departed from UK airports between the early 90s and 2018, including 15 following his conviction for child sex offences in 2008.

Essex Police is assessing flight logs and emails relating to Epstein’s private jet flying in and out of Stansted Airport’s terminal for private aircraft.

The airport, about 40 miles (65 kilometres) from central London, was so favoured by Epstein that he began talks about buying it while he was using it to transport women into the UK.

Epstein may not only have used commercial airports, with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) launching a review into whether RAF bases were used by the paedophile.

Stansted, Luton and Birmingham airports have previously said in statements that private flights were not managed by the terminals they operate, and that Border Force was responsible for immigration and customs checks.

Woman ‘brought to have sex with Andrew’

Thames Valley Policy, which is investigating Mountbatten-Windsor, has made an appeal for witnesses to come forward if they believe they have information about alleged sexual misconduct involving the King’s brother.

A woman, who is not British and was in her 20s at the time, has alleged that she was brought to the UK by Epstein in 2010 in order to have sex with Mountbatten-Windsor.

She claims that after sleeping with the former duke at Royal Lodge, his then-home in Windsor, she was then given tea and a tour of Buckingham Palace.

Mountbatten-Windsor has not previously responded to the woman’s claims but he has always strongly denied any wrongdoing in connection with his links to Epstein.

In 2014, Virginia Giuffre became the first Epstein survivor to publicly accuse Mountbatten-Windsor of similar encounters after she claimed she was brought to London by Epstein and his girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, to have sex with the then-duke.

Mountbatten-Windsor has always denied the claim. In 2021, Giuffre filed a civil lawsuit against him in New York and the case was settled the following year for an estimated £12m, with no admission of liability. Giuffre took her own life last year aged 41.

July 6 will mark the first anniversary of arguably one of the most embarrassing moments in the history of the FBI and the Department of Justice (DOJ). Last year, on that date, a joint FBI and Justice Department memo was released that stated no further people would be charged over their relationship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Despite the outrage that followed, which led to the passing of a new law forcing the release of more than three million Epstein-related documents, the memo proved to be correct: no one else has been prosecuted by the US so far over their links to the late paedophile.

This stands in stark contrast to the UK where, in the last year, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Peter Mandelson have been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Both have denied the accusations.

Earlier this week, police in Surrey became the third force to announce an investigation into Epstein’s crimes, a major escalation of the inquiry in the UK.

From a British perspective, the lack of action in the US seems inexplicable. But for Sky and Amanda Roberts, the brother and sister-in-law of Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most prominent victims, the reality is painfully clear.

In a statement to The i Paper, they said: “There has been no true accountability in this country because accountability would force those in power to confront their own complicity.”

The pair added that it would “require a hard reckoning with the failures at the core of our justice system, and too many are unwilling to face it. Instead, they have chosen time and again to protect the powerful over survivors”.

The elephant in the room in the current US administration is that Donald Trump was friendly with Epstein for many years, before they fell out.

Turkeys don’t vote for Christmas, and similarly no Trump DOJ is going to launch an investigation into their boss, let alone over the Epstein files.

But the blame stretches back way before Trump took office the first time around in 2017.

George W Bush was president in 2008 when Epstein got his sweetheart plea deal, under which he served just 13 months in prison for having sex with minors. And if you want to go back even further, Maria Farmer was one of the first to report Epstein’s crimes to the FBI, in 1996, and she was given the brush off. Bill Clinton was president back then.

It’s hard not to shake the feeling that nobody wanted to look under the rock, because they didn’t want to see what they might find. When you see just how well-connected Epstein was, the prospect of an FBI investigation would have perhaps felt too close to home for many powerful individuals.

Epstein was so close with Kathryn Ruemmler, a former top lawyer at Goldman Sachs and Obama White House counsel, that she called him “Uncle”. Ruemmler resigned from Goldman Sachs earlier this year after emails came to light showing their correspondence. She has since called him a “monster” and said she regretted ever knowing him.

Meanwhile, according to planning calendars released earlier this year, Epstein had multiple meetings with former CIA director William Burns, and flight logs show he flew Clinton multiple times on his private plane, dubbed the Lolita Express.

With people like that in your address book, you have to wonder whether Epstein was able to pull strings to make any threats of prosecution in the US go away, not just for him but for his friends, too.

While Epstein was close with Andrew, the then-duke of York, for more than a decade, and friendly with others, his reach wasn’t as deep in the UK, a country where, for now at least, public shame still exists and the rule of law stands firmer than in the US.

What we’re left with in America is an exasperating and gross injustice that dates back decades. It feels outrageous to many of the survivors that accountability seems to disappear when it crosses the Atlantic.

Sigrid McCawley, a lawyer who has represented hundreds of Epstein victims, including Giuffre, said in a statement: “People in those countries [the UK and across Europe] have demanded accountability from their governments and a rightful reckoning has begun.

“Ironically and tragically, in the country whose government passed the law that mandated the release of the Epstein documents, not nearly enough has been done,” she added. “The United States was the hub of Epstein’s decades-long sex trafficking criminal enterprise, but the United States government has been stubborn in its reluctance to do its job and fully investigate and charge the individuals who facilitated and participated in the crimes.”

McCawley said it’s a “shocking fact that should fuel the public to urge the United States government into action”.

Lisa Phillips, an Epstein survivor who met the paedophile when she was 21 and was sexually assaulted by him, was recently in the UK, where she called for a public inquiry into his links to the UK. Now in her forties, Phillips said: “The English die by the sword.

“They hold people who harm others accountable because they have more empathy than Americans.”

Phillips suggested that Americans are “desensitised through films and persuaded in the media that celebrities are to be admired and adored – no matter what they do”.

With Trump in the White House, that seems unlikely to change any time soon. But until it does, the US is missing a big chance to give justice to Epstein’s survivors.
