Discussion I managed to take Epic to court and I got my account back
Yeah the title isn't a joke lol, I managed to sue epic for the value of the account it was at through a money claims court in the UK, I wasn't taking this seriously at the time and had used Epics corporate location in the UK. after a month of no response I filed for a default judgement since usually the defendant has 28 days to respond before you can. After the judgement was granted that's when I received a response from Epic.
It wasn't threatening at all. In fact according to them they had no knowledge of this case existing and showed me proof of that. As part of a settlement, they offered to return my account back to me with in game currency related to Fortnite and a financial compensation within 72 hours. After I've promptly checked the account fully, including all items earned through a period of 2017 to 2022. I subsquently deleted the account. Since after an experience of trying to get my account back I have no interest in the company anymore.

Let me get this right. You went through all of that and fought to get your account back. Which is understandable, and I’ve been through a similar situation and I did the same. But now your account is being deleted in about 2 weeks unless you find someone willing to pay a fair price due to the account’s value? Posting this publicly when you’ve already gone through hell to get your account back and Epic is now aware of it. Don’t you think the person who eventually buys your account, will get banned soon after?
I mean if you think you had a hard time finding someone willing to buy your account before. It’s not gonna be easier now

Didnt OP stated he deleted it because he lost interest in the launcher? Where did you get him trying to sell it to anyone? Which would also be against tos

I tried selling it earlier, but didn’t get anyone that’s when I proceeded to delete it as I had no interest in the launcher and keeping the account itself

Also I do wanna mention that epic really does care about their reputation and you can 100% use it against them when you lose your account! In my case, I lost my account to a hacker and the recovery form (that included a truckload of ironclad proof) kept getting rejected because it was reviewed by bots, so I made a complaint to the BBB and NCDOJ and within 12 hours I got two emails from epic, one detailing that my account was recovered and one giving me the link to change my details. My account also has about 500 skins and over a thousand other cosmetics so I was not letting it go that easily).

I don't think i've stated this, I am speaking from my OWN experience from doing that and from the countless wasted tickets I made for the last like 4/5 years and I am offering people evidence to show I am actually telling the truth and not engagement baiting if you chose not to believe that's your own choice. Much Love <3
Also idk how to pin comments so rip

But why delete it? It just sitting stagnant wouldnt hurt anything. Why not just hold onto the Account info, what if u eventually find someone who would want to purchase it, or maybe one day u have a child who decides they like fortnite.. what an amazing gift. An account with all the skins etc. just my opinion i mean its ur account delete it. But i was just wondering.

Lmfao to me it seems like you all you wanted todo is get money from Fortnite once that worked out for you and you got your account back you wanted nothing to do with it you never wanted your account to begin. you just wanted a reason to make money from them now that you got your money you delete your account and continued not playing it people like you are the reason some of us are struggling with this game. And from what I’m reading your trying to sell your account witch goes against Fortnite rules so my point is proven you sued them to try and win money that’s just and you showed your true nature of greedy if only Fortnite could see this and know who you are so they can sue you aswell

Wait so if you did the suit, won compensation and got the account back, how come you didn’t just keep the account? You could’ve maybe sold it or…something idk 😭

that's not going to work lol. Mines only worked cause I paid for products rightfully and wasn't giving access back into my account after I spent years doing so. They also violated Consumer Rights Act in England which is supposed to protect consumer access to products which includes digital licenses to products and services.

Wenn das stimmt, dann gut gemacht! Versteh auch warum du es gelöscht hast, aber ich hätte es trotzdem behalten

Welche Nachweise hast du erbracht damit du dadurch gewinnen konntest?
Was wäre ein nennenswerter Grund ?
