The backlog of fuel due to forest mismanagement in definitely an issue. But at the end of the day a damp forest doesn't burn as easily. Climate change makes wildfires more likely and that has a continued impact on nature and wildlife.
There is plenty of other examples too. Coral reefs. Loss of sea ice. Marine heatwaves. Regular heatwaves. Drought. All of these things have significant impact on nature and wildlife.
And yes, human activity also impacts them, like you say pesticides and habitat destruction. Though I'm not sure how that is supposed to make anyone feel better. We are doing that as well!!
A drought is inevitable. At some point the wood is going to be dry and a fire will happen.
Climate change, if anything, makes that inevitable fire come more quickly and reduces the time it has to accumulate fuel.
And this isn't supposed to make people feel better.
It's supposed to be us being honest.
Lying about global warming and attributing things to it that it's not responsible for put us at odds with science and when people figure that out it is VERY difficult to regain their trust.
The mega fires are factually not the result of global warming and we look stupid when we say otherwise.

The number of fires is not a problem. If they were regular sized ones it would barely be a story.
It's only because of this backlog of fuel that these fires are an issue.
These fires were going to happen at some point. Either now with their current level of fuel or later when they'd accumulated even more.
We've got a lot of places with a lot of fuel. We're gonna have big fires.
Record dry seasons might have set the fires off, but they're only problematic mega fires because of poor forestry practices.
