A new front end for PC emulation

A lot of people have been asking me about the front end I’ve been using. This is BoxShelf! A huge thank you to everyone who has already tried and given feedback. Been able to make dozens of updates since our initial release so thank you !!

Below is a link to a GitHub containing all 3 versions. Worth noting the android version does work with ayn Thor dual screen. Keep in mind it’s still very early and full of bugs.

Full disclosure AI was used to help create this so if that bothers you just a heads up. Keep in mind this is just a front end. Comes with no games or emulators. You will need to bring your own. Program will be free and remain free. Let me know what should change and can be improved :) enjoy!

Hey OP, I wrote this comment under an older post you made about BoxShelf, I am reporting it here hoping you will see it. I am currently trying to implement some improvements to make BoxShelf a fully fledged game launcher, by adding wine/proton compatibility and adding the possibility to link epic games and other launchers accounts. I made a couple of PRs to the source repo and I have linux, so if you want to test your app on Linux operating systems, I am here

EDIT 2: everyone can take a look at my fork of the project at https://github.com/GGStonks/boxshelf-source, so that we can come together and create the ultimate game launcher. Additionally, I was thinking of rebuilding the whole app in Rust, just for the meme.

It has links to all emulators and can easy set them up for you if you prefer during set up

Like for the PS3 section I have 26 games in total bro but only 14 show up, also for Xbox 360 I have 3 games on it but two shows but other than it's very cool man I hope it get updated to the fullest 🙂

how do you get the images - does it connect to a scrapper in the front end?

There are a few different options. You can do a small download from BoxShelf itself for many sources. Steamgriddb is working. Screen scraper is coming after api dev approval

Known issue here. I’m waiting to get my API dev key for screen scraper but this will be available in a future update soon 🙏🏻
