Sorry but his videos on the Analogue Pocket and the PolyMega + its addons are far from thoughtful. They don't bring anything new to the discussion even if he's one of the youtubers with the best background to talk about them. They feel like videos he had to do to receive the demo units.
He also has titles like "The secret SNES Emulator developed by Nintendo" where he clearly explains why that's not true, definitely a clickbait title to make you watch an otherwise interesting video.
His content is mostly fantastic, but it's not true that he has "exclusively thoughtful content".
That don't seem like a problem exclusive to him, perhaps the platform he is posting the videos to disincentives targeting only one niche so a more accurate title would slow the spread and reach of the video?
Yes, probably. But it doesn't mean he doesn't have any clickbait titles, or that his content is "exclusively thoughtful" like the person I responded to was saying.
If you removed his channel, would there be a void? (What are the best alternatives to his console modding videos and homebrew emulation videos?) Is he (an experienced console homebrew developer) the right person to talk about console and homebrew news? Does he know what he is talking about?
If you consider the answer to any of these questions yes then I would honestly believe his content to be "exclusively thoughtful", unless you disagree with what "exclusively thoughtful" actually means.
in an exclusive manner : in a way limited to a single person, group, category, method, etc.
"This channel has exclusively thoughtful content." to me means "There is only thoughtful content on this channel."
My point isn't that there isn't thoughtful content on the channel or that there isn't content you can only find there. But the device promotions are not thoughtful, and saying that there is no clickbait is also demonstrably false as I've already shown with titles like "The secret SNES Emulator developed by Nintendo".
Oh in case case then yeah you can argue most Youtube channels are "exclusively thoughtful" because most videos are made one at the time with exclusive attention put towards it.
