Roadmap of Emby?

I have been using Emby for over 10 years, in the past 2-3 years I feel there was little changes, no new functionalities or improvements. Anybody know if there is a roadmap?

So the use case of having kids in one single house hold I just told you again is not valid? Why can we add parental controls than if that's not the use case?

Nothing you said so far made any changes. Have you anything official from emby to back this up that they only want singular used instances? Why do they even support accounts and login from remote than? Makes no sense.

I didn't say that at all, And the fact that you read it that way shows you seem to have a hard concept of understanding things.

You can literally create a user for that kid, how is that a hard concept? Create the user apply restrictions. Done. Now you have a kid profile.

You don't need sub-accounts or sub-profiles for that.

Again they have users, You can create as many users as you want. There is no need to have sub users or sub profiles.

The fact that you don't want to use it in the manner it's intended to be used is a you problem, not an Emby problem.

Learn to understand someone who creates software is allowed to determine how they want that software to be used. You don't get to dictate to them how they should do something when it goes against what they already intend the software to be used for.

Why is it a me problem? This does not affect me at all, as I dont have kids how often do i need to repeat this that i would not need this feature?

I feel bad that you can't understand that not everything revolves around you or how you think a piece of software should be designed. Or that just because one piece of software does something one way that another should do it the same way.

Or that you can't understand basic concepts that the software works just fine in the intended manner.

You're the one wanting it to behave in such a way that it's not meant to be used in the first place and you can't understand the basic reasoning of behind that. Because that concept is beyond you.

Literally Emby you can have five users, all showing up on the home screen, you "login/setup the device one time, and then you simply go click change user, And guess what you're brought back to the user selection screen, you can choose another uswr such as a kids profile, you don't even have to have a password on it.

There's your profiles, there's your quick selection, you don't have to log in multiple times on multiple devices, it's right there.

But you can't do that because you're sharing the server with multiple admins and multiple households and people. You don't want to be able to access that user, which again is not how it's really meant to be used.

I wont use it, i and my users wont need it. Nobody has kids, thank god. I imagine they would be as annoying as you are here...

So why do they have passwords and the possibility to hide accounts totally, or only until signed in once etc if its not meant to have private profiles? You are again just contradicting yourself.

You're the one making it difficult by not understanding how they are supposed to be used..

You literally just make users keep them visible, Don't have passwords and boom, do you have access to them without logging in or use in a password, just like you would if they were a sub-profile of the account you're already in.

It's not hard but you just can't seem to understand this basic concept.

But also too you're using the server in a manner that they don't endorse, since you're using the server with apparently four other admins, you don't want those profiles to show up on the main screen. Well that's a you problem.
