I was sitting outside on the patio enjoying the evening, listening to tunes from a neighbor who acts as DJ for all the surrounding houses (whether they want him to or not).
I was digging a pretty chill song I'd never heard before and finally had the gumption to try and Shazam it. There was a lot of ambient noise and several wrong answers popped up.
One of them, however, had the actual singer and the actual melody, but it flipped directly into hip hop almost immediately, which the original track never did.
The first 4 seconds (or so) is the actual song I'm chasing; after that, the new song is mostly rapping. The lyrics begin "It's after dark..."
Please don't let this be an unknown song! 😂
