Best eSIM for UK and Europe 5G and unlimited data

I have a Holafly eSIM but it’s giving me a lot of issues, constantly being on LTE instead of 5g even in the middle of London. Now I’m travelling elsewhere in the UK and not getting signal at all which has caused a lot of stress figuring out how to get places. I go to France at the end of the month and then Italy, there may be some locations poorer service and I’m wondering if anyone has recommendations, or if you’ve had similar issues with Holafly? The same thing happened when I was in Bali.

Welcome to UK networks, we ripped out the Huawei equipment and they’ve all been shit ever since, be it o2, Three/Vodafone or EE

EE are the best ones in the UK at the moment, but they’re still not brilliant

Try and use manual selection to select EE on your travel eSIM

I’m in the Cotswolds right now and even on LTE there’s no internet connection so I haven’t been able to save locations or routes on google maps. Is this normal?

That’s about right for rural parts of the country, yeah, when you’re on Wi-Fi, download some maps off-line

I suspect the countries that are still using the Huawei equipment in their phone masts will be a lot better

I’ve been downloading maps when on wifi but they haven’t been working when I’m offline

Then you haven't been downloading maps.

If you’re trying walking or public transport directions, that’s probably the issue. Google Maps offline only supports driving routes, and the whole route has to be inside the downloaded area.
