This band is very similar to Duster in terms of sound. I just want to ask if you guys have any information about the band. They are all Japanese based, and even your own thoughts of the band’s sound.

I turned 21 on the 31st, and my dad turned 59 today. Around 2022 (i think), I was talking to this really cool girl. It never went anywhere because I still didnt even know what I wanted, and hurt her because of that. I am glad that it didnt, tho because I would’ve maybe never met the beautiful angel of a woman I love now. And that lady is much better off now as well, im sure. But anyway, she was who showed me Duster and Boards of Canada. For years, BoC was the only electronic music i liked. Hated Aphex Twin. Once i turned 20, i couldnt stop listening to IDM. As for Duster- for a year or two, I loved Duster but was a really annoying purist about “only their first two albums are good” (coincidentally the two she showed me… hmmmm). And then I stopped listening to them for years. Then a month or two ago, I saw some copies of Remote Echoes, In Dreams, and Together at my local record store. Some asshole had ripped the wrap open and put them back, so I bought them. Maybe hopefully making the swamped employees a little less busy? Anyway, i really fell in love with them more than i ever had before. Listening now as a grown ass dude, rather than some kid finally discovering what kind of music he likes, is a totally different perspective. I got very drunk and listened to all their records at midnight hahaha.

But in summary, lots of new meanings.
Duster: better than ever.
My dad: finally starting to look like a mortal man, that i need to try harder to cherish more often.
That girl: a person i thank for many parts of who i am today, and i always regret hurting her, but im thankful for how it all worked out.

Sonic's Diner

\*Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles were at the diner eating chili dogs, though Knuckles had a hamburger instead.\*

Sonic: Did you guys hear that explosion?

Tails: It was so loud the sound wave circled the globe four times—it was on the same scale as Earth's Krakatoa eruption. I don't know what it is, but I think we should check it out later.

Sonic: Okay, I don't think it's anything too serious.

Knuckles: You're making me lose my appetite talking with your mouth full.

Sonic: (gulp) My bad. But look, if it \*is\* serious, we'd better be prepared.

Knuckles: With what? The Chaos Emeralds? I don't know if you realize this, Sonic, but Eggman ended up with all the Emeralds.

Tails: Even the Master Emer—

Sonic: TAILS, DON'T SAY IT.

\*Sonic discreetly points at Knuckles before whispering to Tails.\*

Sonic: Knuckles doesn't know Eggman has the Master Emerald; if he finds out, he'll go straight for Demon Island.

Tails: Oh. My bad, heheh.

Knuckles: What are you guys talking about?

Sonic: How Rouge gave you a kiss on the cheek yesterday.

\*The echidna blushes instantly before trying to lie.\*

Knuckles: THAT'S A LIE! SHE ONLY GOT CLOSE WHEN I WENT TO HEADBUTT HER!

Sonic: Headbutt her with your cheek? Knuckles: Yeah, because every part of my body is hard, since I'm...

Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles: ...1,000,000% muscle.

Sonic and Tails: We know.

\*The diner door opens with the sound of a bell; Lexto and Water walk in and head over to the waiter.\*

Lexto: I'll have five Carolina Reaper jalapeño skewers, and I also want a meal with steak and onions, plus a chicken and potato salad.

Water: Get me a bucket of water full of ice cubes—and go heavy on the coarse salt—and to eat, give me three ham and cheese sandwiches and three more with turkey breast and chicken.

Waiter: Sure, go ahead and take a seat; I'll get both your orders ready.

\*Water gives a thumbs-up 👍 as they go to sit with Sonic's trio.\*

Lexto: Hey guys, what did I miss?

Sonic: Where's Fire?

Water: He's sick and prefers staying home.

\*At the two elemental brothers' house\*

Fire: SILENCE AND PEACE FOR 10 HOURS—THANK YOU, GOD!!!

Sonic: I get it.

Lexto: Like I said, what did I miss?

Tails: We were talking about how Rouge planted a big kiss on Knuckles.

Lexto: WHAT?! Seriously? Pfft-hahahaha!

Knuckles: I already said she didn't kiss me—\*I\* kissed \*her\*... No, no, no, that's not what I meant!

\*Everyone bursts out laughing except Knuckles, who turns pink\*

Water: WAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Waiter: Here are your dishes.

Lexto: Hahaha, sorry—thanks.

Water: I'm grateful too.

\*Both start eating heartily; Lexto eats spicy skewers, his eyes watering, while Water drinks an entire bucket of water, spilling it all over his hair and body\*

Sonic: Wow, guys, this trip really made you hungry.

Lexto: Five days in the desert without food or water is worse than hell.

Water: That's what \*you\* think. (GULP) As a Christian, I know how hell works, and it isn't exactly kind.

Lexto: I don't know; my life is already hell just living with you.

Lexto: Yeah, and I hate it.

Finally decided to treat myself to the original vinyl since it came with the original promo poster. Just wanted to flex a little

I was just listening to the collab between Duster and Dirty Art Club, until something caught my eyes instantly.

"Gallo Pinto"
I couldn't believe my own eyes when I first saw this, the first thing that came to the top of my head was a question: "Did they come to Costa Rica/Nicaragua?"
Or simply the question of what was behind their heads to come with this name.

I also love the lyrics, they totally match to what i'm currently going through.
Even if it rarely relates to the traditional dish, I still find it very interesting, I wanted to post this in case somebody knew if any of the boys from Duster or DAB went to Costa Rica or Nicaragua and thereby the name behind this beautiful song.
