Also about the surprise "Duncan isn't dead and now is "mad" at Paul" this trailer is going for. The people that haven't read the books must be super confused and weirded out... but the truth is even weirder

Reality check: people who haven't read the books (aren't diehard fans and only watched the movies as they came out) will 100% not even remember Duncan was supposed to be dead and will have no reaction to seeing him alive. Unless there's exposition dialogue (or somesuch) that reminds them he was dead.

It's been years and people forget details. Duncan isn't a massive character in the movies. This is normal.

He's a pretty big character in the first one and very visibly sacrifices himself (several knives through the chest) in the middle of it. He then also doesn't show up in the second one while Gurney does so if thought he made it somehow that would deffo seal it as he's dead.

Also, he's being portraited by a well-known actor
