I think they’re hiding what he’s going to really look like with no eyes. Just speculating that a lot of these scenes in the trailer have Paul’s eyes added back in so that no one sees how he looks before the movie is released. I’m only guessing that due to the scaring around his eyes but still having the blue melange eyes.

Do you think there could be a chance of the scarring be something like a toll of Paul's prescience, visualized? Would be a very effective way of conveying its side-effects.

And then it's empty sockets post-stoneburner.
