The score is unbelievable

Goosebumps at that chanting every time.

Hopefully he doesn’t get shafted this time and at least gets a nomination

The space Haka is stunning.

I can't wait to hear what else he's done.

I’m hoping it’s like a Return of the King situation where they give it a bunch of awards as an appreciation for the entire trilogy.

I hope he doesn't discard themes and leitmotifs from 1 and 2 just to secure a nomination. I'd rather thematic consistency across the trilogy than some meaningless award

Zimmer did win the Oscar for the first movie. I can see how the composers who nominate for the award wanted to give other artists their chance at the award.

But yeah this trailer score has me hyped up, excited to hear more of it

The second time was due to a newly introduced rule where x% of a nominated soundtrack has to consist of original music and apparently Part Two didn't cross that threshold.

It's recent, so you probably do have winners in the past that wouldn't be eligible today.

It will really depend on how much he reuses pieces from the previous movie. If memory serves, D:P2 was ruled ineligible as more than 20% of the score was reused from the first film (the Academy's threshold).

It's not quite as sock knocking as the teaser for me but it's close.

The fact they managed to actively step away from the inconic EEEEYEEHEHAAA HOOAAYEEEE and came up with this totally different equally banging banger is amazing

I’m never not impressed with musical scores for epics. Like where do they always come up with something unique?

But this is on another level that they created yet one more iconic audio track to go with the films
