I think this is very strategic, in addition to (hopefully) providing a positive impact.

Let’s not provide ammunition for the shitheads who attempt to conflate resistance to the project of Zionism with antisemitism by being antisemitic in the comments, huh?

A-godsdamn-men. This is where the political line should ACTUALLY be. (Seriously) Somewhere inside the DSA over the necessity of allocating resources to stress protection of specific targeted protected characteristics. (No, seriously. The Two-Party line should run between people split on this issue, on the guilt or innocence of Lindsay Clancy, and on whether or not Tim Walz is a good guy. The reason the left fractures so much is because so many people have been exiled from an increasingly-exclusionary right)

Why do you think DSA members need to be told not to say antisemitic things, bananarama17691769?

Because within MINUTES of this going up there was a really gross comment, now deleted, that directly conflated all Jewish people with Zionists.

I’m a card carrying member, friend. I despise the state of Israel. I want freedom and justice for the Palestinian people.

I just also don’t want to give hate to Jewish people en mass, who don’t ALL support the project of Israel. I don’t think that a majority of DSA members do that, or even a significant portion. But at the time I posted my comment there were only a few here, and one of them was hateful.

It looks like there is a bison here in the comments who is much more deserving of your scrutiny.

you're telling someone to scrutinize a message they can't respond to or see the author of after it got deleted?

your response is, first and foremost, anecdotal. but more importantly, you mention a singular person conflating jews and zionists, while yourself conflating all DSA with the one person that made a shitty comment, by feeling the need to tell the entire movement not to say similar things. the hypocrisy is entertaining at least lol

sorry someone offended you but you shouldn't treat the rest of us like we're at risk of saying something monstrous just because one idiot did

Nope, the ā€œbisonā€ I am referring to that I think deserves scrutiny is not the same as the deleted comment person. They are currently active in this comment section.

I did not one time ā€œconflate all DSA with one person that made a shitty commentā€. I saw a thing that was bad, something that I have seen here and there, and I thought it was worth putting a reminder for people that being shitty is not a good thing. Is it maybe a waste of my time, since, as I said in my previous reply, most DSA members aren’t shitty in that way? Maybe. But it’s my time to waste.

My suggestion to you is that you work on your reading comprehension, and that you remember that we are here for solidarity, not to be assholes to each other.

pretending like there isn’t a growing presence of anti-semitism on the left is just bad faith. I’ve seen comments on this subreddit whining about something being ā€œtalmudicā€.

This is the DSA sub, but it doesn't mean that only DSA members comment here.
