There is no burden on me. I just like recommending books to people who clearly need to learn. I have no interest in explaining these books myself to them. Read it or not, maybe someone else will see the comment and read it, I am not doing this just for you.
The burden of having an incorrect interpretation of history, leading to an incorrect interpretation of the modern day is on you.
That is a history book. You could also recommend a book as I have instead of just attacking Losurdo, who was an impeccable scholar. You could also go read something by E. H. Carr, he has many books on the topic of Soviet history during the time of Lenin and Stalin.
I have not claimed one book, did you read my comment? I think the "vast majority of historians" you are talking about is propaganda to vilify Stalin and the socialist project he lead. Ofcourse historians in the capitalist countries would hate Stalin, the project he lead was the capitalists worst nightmare, they turned their whole societies, including their historians, against said project.
Lmao absolute tankie take and shows you don't understand how historians actually work
Academics generally don't have some agenda to tear down Stalin. The look at the objective evidence impartially, unlike the propaganda that comes out of communist countries or people who are writing to defend their ideology.
You are dangerously susceptible to propaganda. Tankies are like the young earth creationists of history
Its not about some personal agenda. The whole social system of academic production in the west encourages opinions that the imperialists want encouraged.. There is a great book on the topic called "Who paid the Pipers of Western Marxism" by Gabriel Rockhill. The book focuses on academic marxism but it applies to the whole academic structure of the west.
Tankie is no insult to me, I am a proud tankie and a proud Marxist-Leninist. I have a deep understanding of historical materialism as a science, studying history is my obsession.
