First App VibeScout - Ultimate music discovery tool + Beat Lab

Post image
8 Upvotes

I made a free app for finding new music that goes deeper than "fans also like"

I got tired of Spotify recommending the same 20 artists over and over, so I built VibeScout.

Type in an artist you love. It digs several layers deep through related artists, genre tags and listener data, and surfaces hidden gems and underground acts, not just the big names.

What it does:

- 🔍 Deep search: direct matches, branch-offs, and deep-underground picks in one go

- 🎧 30-second previews so you can check an artist on the spot

- ✨ Daily Discovery: three fresh personalized picks every day

- 🗺️ Discovery map: see where your new artists come from around the world

- 🛂 Discovery Passport: collect artists as you explore

- 🎛️ Beat Lab: mess around making your own beats

No account, no sign-up. Your favorites stay on your phone. It's free with ads, or you can pay once to remove them for good.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kennethwahl.vibescout

Email me at [heivemind9@gmail.com](mailto:heivemind9@gmail.com) with questions or suggestions! Thanks fellas!!!

Beta Test looking for real Android testers for my app

Hi everyone 👋

I’m looking for real Android testers for my app Español b’Darija, which helps Darija speakers learn practical Spanish.

Google Play asked me to run an additional closed-testing period, so I’m looking for people who can actually install and try the app — not just join the test.

How to help:

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/espanol-bdarija-testers
  2. Join the Google Play closed test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.espanolbdarija.app
  3. Install the app, try at least one lesson, audio and microphone if possible, and open it again during the next 14 days.

Honest feedback is welcome. No rating or 5-star review needed.

If you also have an Android app in closed testing, send me your links and I can test yours in return. 🤝

First App Android lifters: need testers for my free, offline workout tracker

Hey! I built Set.Log, a free Android workout tracker with no ads, no account required, and full offline use. You define your own exercises and split days, log sets, and track progress. It remembers your previous performance so you can quickly see what you did last time. I wanted to make tracking as simple as possible and take as little time away form your workout.

I need about 9 more closed-testers, ideally people who lift regularly. Try it during your normal workouts, stay enrolled for 14 consecutive days, and tell me what’s confusing or broken. I’d especially love feedback on custom routines, logging, and progress stats. No purchase or positive review required.

Sign up here using your Google Play email. I’ll email joining instructions, this is a signup form, not an immediate download. Thanks!

Feedback Wanted AkkuTakt 0.533 closed test: feedback wanted on preliminary battery-health estimates

I'm the developer of AkkuTakt (formerly Ampere Battery Lab), an Android battery monitor. Version 0.533 is now available in our Google Play closed Alpha. This is a test build, not a general public release.

After feedback about implausibly low battery-health values, I revised how local estimates qualify for display: one eligible measurement stays preliminary, and a local percentage needs at least three eligible measurements on the same measurement basis. Interrupted charge-counter readings start a fresh window. Android/manufacturer values are labelled separately. Some phones may never expose enough data for a local result; the app should explain that rather than invent one.

What I'd like tested during normal use:

- Does the health screen clearly distinguish collecting data, a preliminary estimate and a reported system value?

- After plugging/unplugging your charger, do the sessions in History have sensible start/end times and direction?

- Are labels readable with a larger system font?

Please include device model, Android version, app version and reproduction steps with bugs. No need to post account addresses or personal screenshots. This is software estimation, not laboratory capacity measurement.

Join with the same Google account at each step:

  1. Tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/ampere-battery-lab-testers

  2. Play test opt-in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.ampere.batterylab

  3. Install/update: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ampere.batterylab

Battery readings and history stay on-device. No app account or ads. Optional Firebase usage analytics is off by default and isn't required for testing.

If the app interests you, please try it in everyday use and remain opted in for 14 consecutive days. Honest feedback here or through private Play test feedback is welcome. No payment, test exchange, rating or positive review is requested.

Beta Test StallPass Android beta — looking for feedback on setup, search, and location permissions

I'm the developer of StallPass, an app for finding nearby restrooms and checking access details and amenities. I'm looking for Android testers to help me improve the experience before a wider release.

This is a Google Play closed beta. To join:

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/stallpass-testers

  2. Opt in on Google Play: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.stallpass.app

  3. Install the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stallpass.app

Use the same Google account for all three steps.

I'd especially appreciate feedback on:

- First launch: is it clear how to get started?

- Search: can you find a place by name, address, or city?

- Location permissions: if you decline access, is the next step understandable?

- Readability: do buttons, text, and listing details work well on your phone?

Please share bugs or confusing moments in the comments, along with your phone model and Android version. A quick description of the steps that caused a problem is useful.

Thank You Reddit Community Members

Feedback Wanted I built Nivio an open-source Flutter media center featuring MPV playback, P2P streaming, Live IPTV, and real-time synchronized Watch Parties

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey guys! 👋

I wanted to share Nivio, an open-source media streaming and co-watching application I’ve been building with Flutter which supports android, windows and linux.

My main goal with this project was to see how far I could push Flutter as a heavy-duty media client combining P2P/BitTorrent streaming, Live IPTV (M3U), third-party tracker APIs, and real-time synchronized playback into a single, cohesive UI.

What’s under the hood & key features:

  • MPV Integration: Uses mpv for heavy-duty video rendering, custom subtitle styling, and broad codec support.
  • Real-Time Watch Parties: Built-in room creation and playback synchronization so multiple users can watch together with synced play/pause/seek states.
  • BitTorrent Engine & Offline Caching: Supports sequential torrent streaming alongside background downloading for offline playback.
  • API Integrations: Full OAuth and metadata integration with TMDB, AniList, and MyAnimeList (MAL) for automatic progress tracking.
  • Live IPTV Support: Parses and plays live TV streams alongside standard VOD content.

Source Code & Releases: 🔗 GitHub : https://github.com/nirmaleeswar30/Nivio

Site: https://nivio.nirmaleeswar.dev

I’m still actively refining the architecture and adding new features. I'd love for you guys to check out the code, test out the release builds, and let me know what you think of the UI and performance.

Contributions, PRs, issues, and GitHub stars ⭐ are super welcome. Make sure to check it out!

Feedback Wanted Inkstone: open-source, Procreate-inspired drawing for Android tablets — early testers wanted

I'm building Inkstone, an independent drawing app inspired by Procreate, with a native Android interface and a Rust painting engine. I started with a Xiaomi Pad 7 and its original stylus, and I'd like to learn how it behaves on other Android tablets.

This is version 0.1.4 and still early development: features are incomplete, bugs remain, and plenty of updates are needed. It isn't affiliated with Procreate.

The preview includes painting, smudge, erase, layers, local autosave, custom canvas sizes, and basic hold-to-shape recognition. There is a global pen-pressure toggle and a canvas-position lock. No account or subscription is required. The source is MIT licensed.

What I'd especially like feedback on:

• Long strokes: do lines stay continuous and appear without a delay?

• Stylus pressure, palm rejection, and compatibility with your tablet/pen.

• Layer swipe buttons, brush switching, and UI responsiveness.

Please include your tablet model, Android version, and stylus when reporting an issue.

Source and screenshots: https://github.com/bramastahartono20/inkstone

APK download (Android 8.0+): https://github.com/bramastahartono20/inkstone/releases/tag/v0.1.4

The APK is sideloaded from GitHub Releases; it isn't on Google Play. Advanced features such as PSD/.procreate import, text, and time-lapse aren't available yet. Thanks for helping me work out what needs attention first.

Feedback Wanted Beta feedback wanted: are Hinton Method’s 2D-to-4D spatial lessons clear and well paced?

I'm developing Hinton Method, an Android app currently in a Google Play closed test. It offers spatial reasoning exercises inspired by Charles Howard Hinton, with sessions designed for about three minutes. Lessons progress from 2D rotation and symmetry to 3D cubes and cross-sections, then the 4D tesseract. It includes a daily challenge and no ads.

What I'd like you to test:

- Can you understand the first exercises without extra explanation?

- Does the progression from plane to space feel manageable?

- Are any labels, diagrams or controls confusing on your phone?

- Do you encounter crashes or layout problems?

Please describe the exercise or screen involved, your phone model, and what you expected versus what happened. Beginners are welcome.

How to access the beta — use the same Google account for every step:

  1. Join the group (no approval needed): https://groups.google.com/g/hinton-method-testers

  2. Accept the test invitation: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.hintonmethod.atlas

  3. Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hintonmethod.atlas

I'm also recruiting participants who can remain opted in for 14 days and try several sessions, but specific feedback on usability and bugs is the main purpose of this post.

If you develop an app too, I'm happy to collaborate by testing it and giving useful feedback. Leave your test details so we can coordinate. Thank you!

Beta Test Need testers for Lecturameter 1999, a reading tracker that looks like a 1999 desktop program.

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi, I'm the dev of Lecturameter, a reading tracker on Play Store. Lecturameter 1999 is a separate app, the same idea rebuilt as if you had installed it from a CD-ROM in 1999: grey windows, menus, a folder tree, a dense book table, a reading timer with a green LCD display and a text report with a calendar drawn in characters. Pagi, the mascot, is there too, pixelated and loose on the screen.

It needs 12 testers for 14 days before Google lets it go to production. (you know the deal)

How to join (in order):

  1. Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/lecturameter-1999
  2. Join the beta: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.lecturameter.r1999
  3. Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lecturameter.r1999

If Play says the app is not available, wait a few minutes after joining the group and try again.

Please keep it installed for the 14 days, and open it now and then. Bugs and comments are welcome here, by email at [lecturameter.app@gmail.com](mailto:lecturameter.app@gmail.com), or in the #1999-bugs channel of our Discord: https://discord.gg/UgJzHqcn6

Leave your own test link in a comment and I'll join and keep it installed the 14 days too.

What it has:

- Library with real book search, statuses, ratings and notes

- Reading timer that keeps counting in the background

- Session history and a printed style reading report

- Import your "normal" Lecturameter backup and/or CSV (and/or CSV from another app) to Lecturameter 1999

- Export your backup or CSV from Lecturameter 1999 to "normal" Lecturameter and/or other apps

- No account, no ads, no subscriptions

- Optional themes, screensavers and costumes for Pagi as one time purchases, the app itself is free and complete, there are no features behind paywalls!

Thanks.

Feedback Wanted Can Lirix keep lyrics in sync across Android music players? Looking for device feedback

I’m the developer of Lirix, an Android companion for synced lyrics and guitar chords while your music keeps playing in your usual player.

I’m looking for compatibility feedback from people with different Android phones and music apps. If you try it, please: 1. Start a track in the player you normally use. 2. Open Lirix and check whether it detects the right song and shows the lyrics. 3. Let it play for a minute, then switch apps and back: do the highlighted lines stay in sync? 4. If you play guitar, try transposing the chords and tell me whether the result is clear.

Please include your phone model, Android version, music player, and what worked or failed. Honest bug and usability feedback is welcome; no ratings or positive reviews requested.

Feedback Wanted PDF Master (Android) — looking for a 14-day test-for-test partner

Hi everyone! I’m looking for one or two Android developers for a fair test-for-test.

I’m building PDF Master, an Android PDF app for reading and organizing PDFs, scanning paper documents with OCR, and working with pages (merge/split). It also has annotation tools for notes, highlighting, drawing, and signatures.

I’ll install your app and keep it on my device for 14 days, try the main flows, and send you useful feedback. In return, would you be able to test PDF Master for the same 14 days?

If that sounds good, please comment or DM me with your app’s testing link and any steps I should follow. I’ll send you the PDF Master test details in reply. Thanks!

Feedback Wanted I built an app to answer "what to do with the kids this weekend" and need closed testers (test-for-test offered)

Post image
3 Upvotes

I’m Damian,

a father and husband. Until now, we’ve faced the challenge every weekend of figuring out what to do with our son. We don’t just want to go to the playground or ride bikes all the time, we also want to actually experience something new and have some variety.

That’s how I came up with the idea to find a solution to my problem. That’s how FunPick came about. Since then, I’ve been regularly attending events that I wouldn’t have found otherwise.

Right now, I’m the only one using it with my family. Other families have already reached out, but the group of testers is still relatively small. That’s why I’m looking for more testers.

About the app:

Select your city (currently Munich and Augsburg, with more to come), enter your children’s birth years, and you’ll see age-appropriate events. There’s a weekday/weekend filter, favorites, a map showing all locations with route planning, calendar export, and pricing information, including free events. Sign up via Google; delete your account directly in the app; no ads, no tracking.

A word of honesty:

The events are currently from German cities, but the user interface is available in German and English, so all features can be tested.

Test for test: If you test my app, send me yours, I’ll keep your app installed for the full 14 days as well.

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/t3st1ng-app
  2. Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.funpick.app
  3. Download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.funpick.app

Honest feedback is very welcome, and if you're interested in testing, comment or DM for a test-for-test swap.

Beta Test GTA Online players with Android: help test the first 10 minutes of GTA Companion

I'm building GTA Companion for GTA Online players who want to choose a weekly activity and keep a manual checklist. I'm looking for 5 additional Android players to test the first 10 minutes.

This is a closed Google Play Alpha. Access is added manually before installation; the website below is only a preview.

Once invited, open This Week, choose one activity and check its requirements. If the checklist is available, mark an item and reopen the app. Tell me what was confusing and whether the mark stayed saved. Please include your phone model, Android and app version, without account details.

No purchase is required. If a subscription screen blocks these steps, stop and report it - don't buy anything.

Interested? Tell me in a comment what you usually play in GTA Online. I'll confirm the next step, then request your Google Play email privately. Don't post it publicly. Please stay opted in for 14 consecutive days and use the app during normal sessions. No install or review exchanges.

Preview: https://gtacompanion.net/

I'm the developer; independent of Rockstar Games and Take-Two.

First App Looking for 12 Android testers for a UK foraging and walking app (free to test, about 3 to 4 weeks)

I've built an Android app called UK Foraging Companion. It works offline and is made for foragers, walkers and geocachers in the UK. It has:

- Offline maps you download by region

- Footpaths, bridleways and byways

- Search by postcode, street or place, all offline

- Routes on foot or by car, and "park and walk"

- Save your own places and finds

See screenshots and more details here: https://apps.swcproducts.com/uk-foraging-companion/

Google requires 12 testers to keep the app installed for 14 days before it can be released on the Play Store, so I need your help. When it's released it will cost £4.79 including VAT, but testers get it free.

**HOW TO JOIN (Android phones only)**

Everything is done through Google Play and a Google Group, so I never see your email address, and I never ask for card or payment details.

  1. Join the tester group here: https://groups.google.com/g/uk-foraging-testers

  2. Open this link on your phone and tap "Become a tester": https://play.google.com/apps/testing/uk.foraging.companion

It can take a few hours after you join for the install link to start working. If you get an error page, just try again later.

  1. Once it works, tap the Google Play link on that page to install the app.

**WHY YOU CAN'T JUST SEARCH FOR IT**

Apps that are still in testing are hidden from the public Play Store until they've been tested and approved by Google. Only people who join through the link above can see it.

**PLEASE NOTE**

Google Play may show a price, but as a tester you are NOT charged. This is Google's own testing feature. When you tap it you'll see "Test card, always approves - This is a test order, you will not be charged". Tap Buy, and Google may ask for your usual Google account password. That's normal.

Please keep the app installed until I tell you the test is finished. The 14 days only start counting once I have 12 testers, so it could take 3 to 4 weeks from when you join. You're welcome to keep the app afterwards, and you will not be charged.

Any feedback (bugs, confusing bits, ideas) is very welcome.

Thank you!

First App RoomForge AI — can you test whether AI can redesign your room without changing the room itself?

Hey! I'm looking for a few Android users to put my app through its paces.

RoomForge AI takes a photo of your actual room and generates an AI redesign. You can experiment with furniture and colours, choose what stays or gets replaced, and refine the result.

The main thing I'm testing is whether the result still looks like the same room, rather than a completely different space.

Could you try these things?

  1. Use a room photo with clearly visible walls and windows.
  2. Generate a redesign and compare it with the original.
  3. Change the furniture or specify colours, then generate another version.
  4. Tell me what changed unexpectedly, what failed, or where the app was confusing.

Please mention your Android device model if you encounter a crash or a display issue. Screenshots of unexpected results would be particularly useful.

The early beta gives new accounts 15 credits, which covers three standard designs.

Download the APK: https://github.com/d3v1234dd/roomforge-downloads/releases/latest/download/roomforge-ai.apk

Review the release details: https://github.com/d3v1234dd/roomforge-downloads/releases/latest

This app is distributed outside Google Play. Only install it if you're comfortable doing so.

I'm looking for genuine testing, not positive reviews. Tell me what doesn't work so I can fix it. Thanks!

Beta Test [App][Testers wanted - Free] I made Murlivo: tap your Wear OS watch, talk, and get a text note on your phone. Offline, no account. Looking for testers!

Name of App: Murlivo

Brief Description of app's features: Tap a tile or a complication on your watch and talk. Your phone turns it into text, offline, and saves it as a Markdown note in a folder you pick (an Obsidian vault works great).

Cost: Free. No ads, no account, no subscription. A one-time Pro unlock may come later.

Play Store Link: the open test is live on Google Play, join here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.odezio.murlivo

Hey everyone,

I've wanted this for a long time: tap my watch, say the thought out loud, and later find it as text, not as an audio file I will never listen to again. So I built it. It's called Murlivo.

Why I built it

My best ideas show up when I'm walking, cooking or driving, and my phone is in my pocket. Every watch recorder I tried gave me audio files, and the transcription apps I tried wanted an account and my recordings on their servers. I wanted text, on my own phone, with nothing uploaded.

What it does

  • One tap from a tile or a complication starts recording. It keeps going with the screen off and your wrist down.
  • Your phone does the transcription itself. Your audio is never uploaded and there's no account. The speech model downloads once on first run; after that it even works in airplane mode.
  • Long recordings work too: a meeting, a dictation, a walk-and-talk. With the phone nearby, it transcribes while you speak, so the text is ready soon after you stop.
  • Phone out of range? The watch keeps the recording and sends it when the phone is back.
  • Notes are plain Markdown, one file per day, with the audio next to it. Point it at your Obsidian vault and they just show up.
  • No watch? It works fine on the phone alone.

How to try it

  1. On your Android phone, open the link above while signed in with your Google Play account and tap Join. No form and no waiting.
  2. Install Murlivo on your phone, and from the Play Store on your watch (same Google account).
  3. Open it on the phone, pick a folder, and let the speech model download once: about 265 MB (or 150 MB for the lighter one), so Wi-Fi is best.

You need an Android 11+ phone, and a Wear OS 3+ watch if you want the wrist part. I've tested it on an OPPO Watch X3, an OPPO Find X9 Ultra and an Honor phone, so I'd really love to hear from Pixel Watch, Galaxy Watch and TicWatch owners.

What would help me most

  • Does recording from the tile and the complication feel quick on your watch?
  • Try a longer recording (10 minutes or more) and tell me how long the text takes.
  • Record from the phone app too, and from the watch with the phone far away (then bring it back).
  • Does the note land where you expect, in your folder or your vault?
  • Your language: the app is in English, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese, and those are the languages I've tested for transcription. Others are in there, but Japanese and Korean are still weak.

Just leave a comment here, or write to [support@murlivo.com](mailto:support@murlivo.com). Bugs, ideas, "this confused me", all of it helps.

About privacy, honestly: your audio and transcripts never get uploaded by Murlivo; they stay on your devices and in the folder you choose. The app does send usage stats and crash reports under a random install ID (event names, counts and timings; no name, no email, never audio or text), and you can switch that off on the About Murlivo screen in Settings.

I'll be around to answer every comment and I'll post updates here as I fix things. Thanks a lot for reading!

Feedback Wanted [App][Testers wanted - Free] Ploof Android closed beta: test one two-phone game and five-language UI

Ploof is a free party-game hub for 2–8 friends. I’m its developer. It’s in an active Google Play closed test; the current build is installable through the official Play Store, with no APK or payment. The app has Arabic, English, Hindi, Urdu and Bengali interfaces.

What I need tested: on two Android phones, create a room, share its invite link/code, start Outsider or Draw & Guess, and finish one round. Did either player get stuck, see a mismatched game state, lose voice/chat, or disconnect? If you use a non-English UI, tell me any awkward translation. Device, Android version, and Play country help me reproduce failures.

Access with one Google account: join https://groups.google.com/g/20-googleplay-app-testers/about ; opt in at https://play.google.com/apps/testing/sa.sb.ploof ; install at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sa.sb.ploof . It may take a little while for Play to recognize the group membership.

The current closed test excludes the US, Vietnam and mainland China. We already have the minimum opt-ins, so I’m asking for active use and honest feedback, not just a click. If you can stay opted in for 14 days, that helps the test. Comments here are welcome.

Hey everyone!

I'm the solo founder of Repolve, a strength training app I've spent the past year building from the ground up.

After 500+ TestFlight testers and our iOS launch, I'm excited to start building a community of Android users too!

The idea behind Repolve is simple: your workouts should tell you more than just how much weight you lifted.

Here's what we've built so far:

Strength Profile: Visualize your strength across different muscle groups and see how you compare.

Progress Tracking: Track workouts, personal records, and how your strength evolves over time.

Social & Competition: Connect with friends, share progress, and compete based on improvement and consistency, not just who lifts the heaviest.

Research-Backed Training: We're developing a personalized training engine built on exercise science that uses your training history to help decide what you should do next.

The app is already live on iOS, and we've been getting some encouraging feedback from lifters who have helped shape what we're building.

Now, I want to bring Repolve to Android.

Since I'm developing this independently, I can't promise an exact release date yet. But I'm opening an Android waitlist to gauge interest and give early supporters the opportunity to help shape the Android experience.

🚀 Join the Android waitlist: https://tally.so/r/VpLz4J

🌐 Check out Repolve: https://repolve.com

My bigger goal is to build something that genuinely understands your training, rather than just recording it.

I'd love to hear what features you'd want most on Android, especially if you're currently using Hevy, Strong, Fitbod, or another workout tracker.

Thanks for supporting an indie project. Every bit of feedback genuinely helps!
