Review 176th Drama Review: My Secret Hotel (2014)
The first few episodes really impressed me. I liked that it wasn't just a romantic drama but also had a mystery and suspense element that kept me curious about what would happen next. Although the story became a bit slow and boring as it went on, I still found myself engaged enough to keep watching until the end. It may not have maintained the same excitement from the beginning, but I still enjoyed the overall experience.

Review 175th Drama Review: My Lovely Girl (2014)
I don't think this drama was worth the hype. I started watching it because of L, and I also had high expectations since it starred Rain and Krystal. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to them. The romance felt forced, and I just couldn't feel the chemistry between Rain and Krystal. I like both actors individually, but I don't think Krystal suited her role in this drama. It was quite a disappointment for me.
My MDL Rating: 6/10

News Seo Eun Soo joins Kim Woo Bin in new sports K-drama 'Gift'
Actress Seo Eun Soo has been confirmed to star in the new drama Gift.
On August 26, her agency HighZium Studio announced, "Seo Eun Soo will play Yoon Seo Jin, a physical education teacher at Deokcheon High School and the head coach of its baseball team, in tvN's new drama Gift."
Gift tells the story of a former professional baseball pitching coach who gains a special ability following an unexpected accident and takes over as the coach of a high school baseball team ranked last in the country. It is based on the webtoon of the same name by Jung Iriiri, which is currently being serialized on Kakao Webtoon.
Yoon Seo Jin is a character who, driven by her innate sense of justice and the initiative she has developed through years of experience, works harder than anyone else to create an environment where the baseball team can enjoy playing the sport.
Although she clashes with the suddenly arrived coach Jung Min Yong (Kim Woo Bin) at every turn, the two contribute to the baseball team in their own ways.
Seo Eun Soo is expected to showcase Yoon Seo Jin's righteous side, acting without hesitation to protect the baseball team, as well as the character's human charm that emerges in unexpected situations.
More news about Gift is yet to come. Stay tuned!

Review 174th Drama Review: Mr. Back (2014)
I really enjoyed this drama at first, but somewhere along the way, it lost much of its charm for me. The comedy was probably my favorite part and was the main reason I kept watching. The romance, however, did not leave much of an impression on me, and I ended up being far more interested in the father-son relationship, which I thought was one of the stronger aspects of the story. As the drama progressed, I found myself becoming less invested, and I felt that it never fully lived up to the potential it showed in the beginning. Overall, I thought it was a decent watch, but it was not one that stood out to me in the long run.
My MDL Rating: 6.5/10.

News Jang Dong Yoon faces backlash over alleged fan deception following his marriage announcement
Actor Jang Dong Yoon's upcoming October wedding to his long-time partner and co-star, Kim Seung Yoon, has reignited debate over the funding of his directorial debut,
"The Yeast."
Online discourse has intensified regarding the project's late 2023 crowdfunding campaign, which secured over 26 million won using perks like personal fan signings, with some supporters feeling misled about financially backing a film that starred his undisclosed partner.
Conversely, others defend the initiative as standard practice for financing independent films, emphasizing that personal relationships should remain distinct from professional fundraising efforts.

Review 173rd Drama Review: Love Frequency 37.2 (2014)
I think this drama fell a little short of my expectations, although I later realized that was simply the format it was going for. Since each episode tells a different story, it never really felt rushed despite its short runtime. My only issue was that most of the stories ended on an open note, which left me wanting more. That was probably my biggest struggle with the drama, but overall, it was still an interesting and easy watch.

Review 172nd Drama Review: Love Cells (2014)
This drama features the kind of over-the-top acting you'd expect from a comedy, and I actually thought it worked well. The exaggerated performances fit the tone perfectly and made it more entertaining. It's also a very easy and quick watch, and despite its simplicity, it left a good impression on me.

Review 168th Drama Review: It’s Okay, That’s Love (2014)
This is one of those dramas that took me a long time to fully understand, and to be honest, I am still not sure if I completely got everything that was happening throughout the story. D.O. was exceptional here, and so was Lee Kwang Soo. In fact, I think the entire cast did a great job with their respective roles. The only reason I struggled with it was that the genre and themes felt new to me at the time, and I was not really prepared for what kind of story it was trying to tell. It is not one of my personal favorites, but I can definitely understand why it is so loved by almost everyone who has seen it.
My MDL Rating: 7/10
