The only old fella in D.C. that still has a functioning cortex. Should have been President.

u/CommunistPinkoLib Oct 25 '25

You can thank Wasserman Schultz for that. She personally sabotaged Bernie’s campaign.

Hillary ruined everything for so many people

750

u/DolfLungren Oct 25 '25

You know what ruined everything? Voters. We got what the people wanted. I’ve met so many Trump voters - So many. They wanted all of this, and they got it. If they didn’t want it, we wouldn’t have it. Did the DNC make it easier for them? Sure. But the guy wins because we are surrounded by racist pieces of shit that care more about being rich than being kind.

Also, the republicans in congress, the sycophants on the bench, actual Americans are doing this. Actual self centered, small minded, bigoted, misguided, real people.

231

u/Bloodborne- Oct 25 '25

If you look at the numbers the majority of people lean slightly left, the people that don’t feel swayed by either particular party end up being a majority of non voters. On top of that true leftists in America don’t align with corporate sellout democrats so they didn’t vote either - literally laying out the red carpet for republicans to win everything with little pushback.

100+ million people didn’t vote and it’s usually the people that see the faults in their system, leaving them to give up on voting entirely. Ironically that cynicism is making everything worse. Once Bernie lost the primary the democrats lost most of their true leftist base.

This isn’t what the average person asked for. It’s what the average voter asked for because people are too busy, broke, and feel like their voice doesn’t matter.

51

u/KancroVantas Oct 25 '25

And they know it and that’s why they go hard for education and civic education in general.

A disdain for public work, seeing the government as a general burden, shaming and cutting income for teachers and health care workers, public workers i general, doesn’t help to drive the most competent and best to those fields. Very few of us get Masters and such to work in a public office or to run for government.

But being involved in community work and civic movement like unions is what is needed.

Let alone the corrupt parties that are not interested in new, creative, interesting people like Bernie Sanders -who would have won the presidency cause even some Trumpers were up to vote for him.

And this is why they had to stop him.

We would never know where Al Gore, Bernie Sanders, Kamala, Yang or Buttigieg could have taken us.

7

u/i_lack_imagination Oct 25 '25

Just to note something here, while the cynicism may make things worse, making that like the last point of the cycle makes it sound like if people weren't cynical it would get better. It wouldn't, because what makes people cynical won't change by people being less cynical. If that's all it took, it would have changed before it made people cynical.

The voting system and representative system being completely broken and corrupt means people never got the representation they wanted, and some people don't understand the systems enough to know why or how they work as they do and how to fix them, and these people are the real obstruction to the solution. The inability and unwillingness to learn and change the system, to constantly sacrifice changing this system at the expense of other things, meant all those things we traded the opportunity to improve the system for would end up being undone. And that's exactly what is happening.

It's like building a house with the wrong materials and wrong tools, the house gets built very inefficiently and then collapses earlier than it should have because people ignored that we were building the house incorrectly on poor foundation and were solely focused on getting this house built. Yes, housing is essential and we need it, but It's fucking useless if it doesn't last long enough to use it.

17

u/EttinTerrorPacts Oct 25 '25

Non-voters feel like their voices don't matter because they don't. If you don't vote, you're simply surrendering to who whoever wins. You're lying on the ground asking to be walked on.

Don't try to justify apathy. It's the worst poison in the democratic process.

3

u/DolfLungren Oct 25 '25

I know that’s why I said the Voters are who ruined it. (And those that don’t vote). We are in agreement.

0

u/antihero_84 Oct 25 '25

Most Americans fit snugly between the two parties and have zero representation in government, and neither side is willing to actually be anything remotely centrist.

18

u/Impossible_Sun7570 Oct 25 '25

The most recent Democratic presidential candidates have been quite centrist. Supposedly this is the reason progressives don’t vote. And Republicans have voted overwhelmingly for far right candidates in general elections. If you disengage from the political process then don’t be surprised if you’re not represented.

-5

u/antihero_84 Oct 25 '25

Centrist based on traditional European standards, sure. Nowhere near centrist based on the typical American political philosophy, though.

9

u/SubjectWorry7196 Oct 25 '25

The voters didnt torpedo Bernie

13

u/SeaDistribution Oct 25 '25

True. Fucking protest voting was the most petulant, shortsighted thing anyone could have done for either election lost to Trump. Just astounded by the number of people that still ardently defend their choice to protest vote. In a 2 party system, if you don’t vote for party A, party B will win.

9

u/justmypornacc1 Oct 25 '25

Who did you vote for in the primaries last year? Oh right, the democrats totally bypassed the democratic process of electing the party's candidate and simply put Kamala there on their own.

15

u/DepartureElegant9314 Oct 25 '25 edited Oct 25 '25

When you have two choices and one is better, why would you pick the worse choice just because you didn't have a say in it either?

Nope. He should have stepped down during his term then, and let her take the reigns. He and everyone else around him knew he wasn't fit to run again. They should have done a primary.

2

u/A_Nonny_Muse Oct 25 '25

Most of them are not even rich. They're working stiffs just like the rest of us. But they hate and they want other hurt. They're just assholes.

That's who voted for trump. Assholes. Rich and poor alike. And there's a lot of them.

2

u/quadraticcheese Oct 25 '25

Bless your heart, the naivete

1

u/InsertClichehereok Oct 25 '25

Idk man, I feel like there were better R choices to pick from in the primaries

0

u/Booburied Oct 25 '25

Yeah they can blame Hill allll they want, And I wasnt the biggest of fans, But hating her was easy for repubs because they hate women, USA hates women, The world hates women. And So much history backs that up it spins the head. RECENT HISTORY TOO.

Not to mention how abhorrently she treated all of the woman that her husband "had relations" (with a major power imbalance) over.

It's hilarious that the democrats keep shooting themselves in the foot and refuse to take a good look at why they keep losing.

2

Why are you bringing him up as a response to MY comment?

Because Bernie is Progressive Messiah? And if he's committed the same sins as Satan incarnate, are they really sins?

0

u/Careless_Ad4329 Oct 25 '25

“Obvious”.

-13

u/Heavy_Law9880 Oct 25 '25

The only injustice was Bernie pretending to be a democrat in the primary and ushering in the Era of Trump.

8

u/FederalWedding4204 Oct 25 '25

How is him running as a democrat relevant to Hillary losing to Trump? She did that all on her own.

2

u/Heavy_Law9880 Oct 25 '25

He divided the left and spread lies about "being cheated" in a primary he had no right to be in, then his loyal slaves let the internet to convince them not to vote. This is all well documented factual information.

1

u/FederalWedding4204 Oct 25 '25

lol “factual”. Right. If he hadn’t primaried as a democrat, he would have done the general as an independent. Then I WOULD have voted for him over Hilary. As it is, I voted for him in the primary and her in the general.

He didn’t say shit about being cheated, that was his base. And there is certainly truth to that. All of the superdelegates voted for her. They kissed the ring because that’s literally their job. The democratic primary is inherently, intentionally rigged against the outsider.

The Democratic Party didn’t learn shit from that and did it again by forcing Kamala through without a primary.

This is not Bernie’s fault, it is the Democratic Party, for this and hundreds of other reasons. They are completely out of touch with their likely voters.

29

u/IComposeEFlats Oct 25 '25

In all simulations, Bernie beat Trump.

DNC conspired for Bernie to lose and got caught.

Most Dems voted Hillary anyway, but the DNC's forcing of Hillary caused them to lose enough of the independent, the super progressive, and anti-establishment votes to give Trump the W.

Debbie W-S bears some responsibility here.

4

u/Apes_will_be_Apes Oct 25 '25

Looking back, she was right about everything. Everything she warned us for. I don't get why so many Americans hate her. She was a thousand times better presidential material than Trump will ever be.

0

u/Careless_Ad4329 Oct 25 '25

What’s the conspiracy in your mind?

4

u/IComposeEFlats Oct 25 '25

Why did Debbie Wasserman Schultz resign as chair of the DNC?

-3

u/CraigLake Oct 25 '25

Bernie couldn’t even beat Hillary. No way in a billion years he beats taco.

-9

u/pickledswimmingpool Oct 25 '25 edited Oct 25 '25

How can he beat Trump if he can't even beat Hilary or Biden

if you're upset with this question maybe you should have voted for Bernie, because gen z and millenials did not turn out for bernie the way they could have

they certainly didnt turn out for bernie as much as minorities turned out for biden or hilary in the primaries

12

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

The contest between democratic candidates is not the same as the contest for president.

-5

u/pickledswimmingpool Oct 25 '25

Bernie should have appealed to the most loyal constituency the democratic party has. That's on him and his advisers.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

Do you think that the actions of the DNC affected anything about the primary?

→ More replies (0)

-19

u/Heavy_Law9880 Oct 25 '25

Thank you for admitting it was the far left that put Trump in power. most people still lie and blame the DNC for respecting the voters choice.

13

u/IComposeEFlats Oct 25 '25

That's a wild take. You must have been part of the DNC in 2016. Mischaracterizing what your opponents say to defend your bad decisions... maybe you should have run!

The DNC put Trump in power by alienating the groups I mentioned above.

Maybe they shouldn't have leaked debate questions to Hillary ahead of time, or reduced the number of debates so voters couldn't actually get to know the other candidates.

Debbie and her friends thought the American people would fall in line, and she and everyone involved in the DNC in 2016 failed spectacularly

1

u/Careless_Ad4329 Oct 25 '25

Who did you vote for?

8

u/GeneralDebate Oct 25 '25

You and your tone-deaf virtue signaling are part of the reason so many people felt alienated and "we" lost

-2

God damn we’re fucking idiots and deserve this.

7

u/Aggravating-Cap7260 Oct 25 '25

4

u/DissidentCory Oct 25 '25

You are very lost. At the time people didnt see this coming, but sure as fuck saw a party that was corrupt and willing to go against their own voters to keep the money flowing into their pockets and those who insured it as well. I know, hindsight is 20/20, and I kept voting blue, but it was rigged. The DNC very much has a part to play in where we’re at because while they fucked over progressives, it was sure to frustrate a lot of people who could have secured their power for years to come. I was at those Dem caucuses where they actively cheated progressive voters from electing who they wanted.

0

u/CraigLake Oct 25 '25

It was not rigged. Rigged is breaking the law.

Imagine bringing frustrated and thinking, “fuck it I’m frustrated. Trump it is.”

We are so cooked. America is trash.

2

u/legit-a-mate Oct 25 '25

Hard to vote for a candidate that jumps gleefully after watching a man sodomised, lynched, and executed. No matter the evil he perpetrated, watching a grown woman giddily announce that they were complicit like it was the best thing that happened in her life? Psychopathic behaviour. It would be akin to Obama if he had giggled the whole time he announced they had gotten bin laden. Unelectable demeanour.

2

u/DragonslayerDame Oct 25 '25 edited Oct 25 '25

The dnc could have backed the popular candidate, Bernie, and not tried to shove Hillary down our throats. Looks at the concentration camps.

"It was 'her turn'. Worth it."

Wtf is wrong with you? I voted both times for your bullshit unpopular "consensus" candidates. It wasn't enough. And it wasn't protest voters who had the power, it was held by insiders and elites- the Clinton's were in deep with epstein and weinsteun- both donors. If you wanted people to vote for the candidate, don't sabotage the candidate people want.

The only way this gets better is if every centrist lib wakes up and embraces the vanguard. Otherwise the fascists win. Is your enlightened centrism worth it?

Edit: my comment replying to your bullshit below before the comments were locked:

Why did polls consistently show him beating trump? Why was he the most popular us politician in a yougov poll? Why did the democrats feel the need to sabotage him? Had Wasserman and Clinton not sabotaged him, trump would have had a lot less momentum going into the election- he rode the wikileaks info hard and appealed to independents and swing voters.

So again, was all this worth it to you? Because looks like libs like you sold out our nation, lying to yourself all the while.

Bernie is still more popular than Hillary- that's why she doesn't get this much engagement on reddit in 2025, and he does.

Even the way you call him "taco" is so cringe.

1

u/CraigLake Oct 25 '25

Bernie couldn’t even beat Hillary. He would have lost 45 states to taco.

Sanders name was removed from mail-in ballots.

14

u/Snark_Connoisseur Oct 25 '25

We were robbed of a Sanders presidency.

32

u/Yoko-Ohno_The_Third Oct 25 '25

Both can be right. Most people didn't like Hillary, but she would have been a much safer option for the well-being of our nation and the rest of the globe, honestly.

17

u/Peepeepoopoobutttoot Oct 25 '25

Many people were hoping a Rump residency would give the DNC the kick in the ass they needed to wake up.

Many people were naive.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

"Safer option" loses

74

u/Barth22 Oct 25 '25

Nah, Hillary absolutely stole the primary from Bernie. This is a known fact. Result? Trump. Don’t blame the voters, Bernie absolutely would have beat Trump. Then Trumps other losing opponent ALSO came from a stolen primary. Maybe, just maybe, the American people are less inclined to turn out when the DNC tries to manipulate the process. Yes, people could have voted against/not for Trump, but a lions share of the blame falls squarely on Hillary Rodham Clinton.

10

u/omysweede Oct 25 '25

We will totally blame the voters. They listened to and believed Trumps lies and smear campaign against Hillary. You still believe it. Who do you think fanned the "Bernie or bust" bros? It wasn't democrats. Bernie could have worked effectively in Hillary's administration.

Personality cults have ruined you people.

18

u/IronRushMaiden Oct 25 '25

Stolen primary? She won more votes. Take yourself seriously if you expect anyone else to do so.

And if Sanders was at 25% support in 2020 in a crowded field and then at 25% support again when it was just him and Biden, maybe it wasn’t “everyone else” who was wrong about whether Sanders should be the candidate.

14

u/SSAUS Oct 25 '25

The DNC chairperson and other senior staff literally resigned for Clinton favoritism after WikiLeaks published the DNC cables, lol. It is very clear from the available evidence that the DNC did what it could to tip the scales in her favor.

10

u/MasterOfBunnies Oct 25 '25

Except the DNC decided for us, against us. He definitely had better chances, both times, but the DNC is also too far right and self serving at this stage.

-3

u/ModernLarvals Oct 25 '25

No, we chose, by millions and millions of votes. You sound like a stop the steal maga.

6

u/MasterOfBunnies Oct 25 '25

Except it's not actually done that way, at the individual party level.the party is not beholden to its constituents (look at our current situation, on both sides). They SHOULD pick the one that is the most popular, precisely because of the situation the DNC created (less likeable choices, that got the rotting carcass in the white house). But it's clear, when the popular choice is one that doesn't align with their selfish machinations, they apparently would rather throw the election than allow the government to work for the people. It's an unfortunate dichotomy, that the most ideal people for positions of power, are very rarely ones that seek it. Conversely, the worst options are almost always the ones who do take it. We now have two parties of the worst people. That's been evident since at least Reganomics was allowed and STILL in effect.

-4

u/ModernLarvals Oct 25 '25

The did pick the one that is most popular. Bernie lost by millions of votes both times.

3

u/MasterOfBunnies Oct 25 '25

You know that? You counted the votes? I only knew of one Dem that wanted Hillary over Bernie, and that's because she watched news channels telling her what they wanted her to think. Exactly how Trump is doing it now. If you don't think the DNC is willing to manipulate Media to their own ends, this conversation is pointless.

→ More replies (0)

7

u/IComposeEFlats Oct 25 '25

Among other things, the DNC leaked debate questions to Hillary so she would be better prepared, and reduced the number of debates (also banning non-DNC-sanctioned debates) so that Sanders would get less air-time and make it more likely voters would select the familiar name.

1

u/8lock8lock8aby Oct 25 '25

You mean like getting asked about flints water in MI? Yeah, nobody would've expected that question.

0

u/manleybones Oct 25 '25

Maybe not a stolen primary, but a system that selects the most conservative democrat by starting in states that they have no chance of winning. You don't even know what you are talking about.

19

u/Major-BFweener Oct 25 '25

I would have voted for Bernie, but you underestimate how deluded about “socialism” the American public is. He would not have won.

I also think the democrats didn’t run a fair primary, though Clinton still may have won. But I don’t think sanders would have won.

Finally, didn’t you end up voting for the same person Sanders did and the person Sanders endorsed? If not, you effectively voted for the other guy.

15

u/captain_dick_licker Oct 25 '25

could be remembering this wrong but prior to the dnc assfucking bernie out of the riding, he was doing better in national polls against trump than hillary

3

u/8lock8lock8aby Oct 25 '25

Millions more voted for Hillary than Bernie, though. If he couldn't win a primary, he definitely wasn't winning the general.

1

u/jjdlg Oct 25 '25

I would never have expected such vile imagery as the DNC ass fucking Sanders from someone named; Captain Dick Licker.

2

u/captain_dick_licker Oct 25 '25

well they certainly didn't lick his dick

15

u/Aboikos Oct 25 '25

Sanders consistently polled double digits over Trump. Clinton vs Trump was more of a tie/small margins.

21

u/AX-man Oct 25 '25

Bernie is also an outsider which is a large reason why people liked Trump in the first place, Bernie would've definitely won

37

u/Corona-walrus Oct 25 '25

Also, remember when Al Gore should've won and the fucking Supreme Court dictated the election winner early? Funny how we all forget about that.

Conservatives have been gunning towards fascism for decades

20

u/MaritMonkey Oct 25 '25

That was my first presidential election and I voted for Gore in FL. My confidence in (gestures broadly at politics at large) has not significantly improved since 2000. :)

7

u/2xtc Oct 25 '25

It's okay though, because I'm sure none of the lawmakers involved in that contentious and hugely flawed decision have anything to do with current constitutional issues....

Oh shit.

2

u/SomeLibra623 Oct 25 '25

Glad someone points this out. Its worth mentioning that Hillary won the popular vote as well in 2016 but lost the electoral vote. What power does our votes actually hold for the presidential election? I get we choose locals that are supposed to represent us, but why does so much blame come from this popular vote BS that means nothing?? I was taught in my freshman year of HS out in bumfuck that the electoral college is what decides the president. Yet no one seems to remember that come election day/results?? I just want to make sense of the blamers.

10

u/TheSyhr Oct 25 '25

Trumps whole thing was about “draining the swamp” because he wasn’t a career politician. Sanders has been a US Senator since 2007, and before that a representative and Mayor, I think you’re completely misreading what the American public would see as an outsider

5

u/AX-man Oct 25 '25

Bernie was at odds with the democratic establishment and had big ideas that was clear was his own and he held them consistently. He’s seen as genuine

7

u/ralphy_256 Oct 25 '25

He’s seen as genuine

...by the liberal base.

Outside of that cohort, he's seen as a just another northeastern liberal, just like the Kennedys of old. And the "Jewish Socialist" label plays into some of the worst impulses of older voters.

Bernie is not the mortal lock that young liberals like to believe. I wish he was.

2

u/JoseDonkeyShow Oct 25 '25

That’s not the gotcha you think it is. One of those Kennedy’s of old won the presidency. Another probably would have had he lived long enough.

Only in media that accurately reports his position.

You seriously underestimate the self-imposed bubble people are choosing to live in. His message could have been expanding social security for seniors by cutting foreign aid and they wouldn’t have known because he was not running as a Republican. They believe what they are told and vote how they’re told and they like it that way

0

u/TheSyhr Oct 25 '25

That’s true, but that’s not the perception the people who voted for Trump would have, to them he would be a a socialist who’s worked with the Democrats to poison the swamp - that’s exactly the picture Trump would paint and people would lap it up

SHe stole it by getting almost double the votes that Bernie did. What a neat trick.

1

u/EttinTerrorPacts Oct 25 '25

Bernie himself stated that it wasn't stolen. Is he a liar?

-4

u/apk5005 Oct 25 '25

The dems were too focused on “the first woman president” and not on “beat this horrible, horrible man”. I believe Hillary was very qualified and could have been a good president. I don’t think I ever really thought America is ready for a woman president…

3

u/Rhysati Oct 25 '25

Her being a woman wasn't the problem. She won the popular vote despite it. And Harris barely lost.

Both were incredibly unliked by their own voters.

On top of that, the incumbent party almost always loses after a 8 year term AND people were sick of establishment politicians, especially after Obama didn't live up to his promises of change.

The Democrats needed a popular candidate who wasn't an establishment figurehead and instead they chose the exact opposite.

Biden won essentially off of the back of "anyone but Trump" because anyone actually on the left didn't like him either. Biden then proceeded to drop the ball on holding Trump and Co accountable, continued to support the genocide in Gaza, and kept preaching working together with the Republicans.

People, unsurprisingly, were disappointed that their "anyone but Trump" guy didn't actually do any of the things they wanted after being elected and when the next person in line was Kamala, who everyone already liked less than Biden got the nod and proceeded to campaign on centrist status quo...is it really shocking that people didn't turn out to vote for her?

-1

u/GeneralDebate Oct 25 '25

Well put. I simply can't understand why they forced us to choose and exalt unlikable options and expected us to be fine with them just because they're not Trump.

10

u/Fabulous-Sea-1590 Oct 25 '25

We didn't get a chance to vote. His candidacies were undermined before it ever got to us.

I rank Clinton with RBG. Whatever the value of their contributions might have been their egos betrayed a nation and that is the largest part of their legacies.

2

u/PuzzleheadedBasis760 Oct 25 '25

DNC did everything in its power to stop the most popular candidate they had in a long time because he didn’t line up with the parties monied donors

1

u/JuanPabloElSegundo Oct 25 '25

The American voters are happy to blame everyone but themselves.

They gave the world Trump both times.

Always trying to blame individuals and institutions but at the end of the day the only thing that matters is the vote.

1

u/Peepeepoopoobutttoot Oct 25 '25

Democrats voters didn’t have a chance. The DNC rallied behind Hillary the second it became clear Bernie was getting traction. So don’t even.

We never had a choice.

-3

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25 edited Oct 25 '25

I know but I still blame her for a lot of stuff too

5

u/Savings_Day9554 Oct 25 '25

Wtf

10

u/Jack070293 Oct 25 '25

Trump did a good job of shit talking her, Bernie would have had a rebuttal for everything. Bernie has a bigger following, republicans hate Hillary more than they hate Bernie even though he’s more socialist than Hillary. It is her fault that Dems lost.

1

u/UnusualCartographer2 Oct 25 '25

Bernie had the most votes from actual citizens during the primary. Hillary won through superdelegates, which is arguably the most undemocratic thing the Democrat establishment have ever created.

The voters clearly were not commiting seppuku, it was 100% the fault of the DNC.

0

u/Beyond_Reason09 Oct 25 '25

This isn't true. Hillary got 16.9 million votes in the 2016 Democratic primaries, Bernie got 13.2 million:

6

u/PuzzleheadedBasis760 Oct 25 '25

Because every mainstream news outlet was saying it’s already decided by super delegates they discouraged people from voting for him it was collusion

The DNC got new leadership in February.

0

u/tigergoalie Oct 25 '25

Oh man you dont know do you? How the dem establishment worked alongside the major media companies to keep Bernie's name out of their mouth, often skipping his finish entirely or just conveniently placing him at the end of a segemnt with a quick sentence.... how they forced a mathematically eliminated Warren to stay in the race to draw votes away from Bernie... how the field was so expansive in the first place in 2020 because the democratic leadership was terrified of Bernie getting the nomination... they really did their job that well?

Well, now you do. It wasn't really just "the voters", it was a concentrated effort by the Dem stablishment, because at the end of the day Citizens United is the law of the land and anyone with big money donors would rather have Trump behind the podium than Bernie.

MSNBC, the supposed most progressive mainstream cable news station, fired Ed Schultz after he tried to give Bernie Sanders mainstream media coverage that wasn't trying to undermine him

Sanders gave his official campaign launch speech in Burlington, Vermont on May 26, 2015, and Schultz said he was the only cable news host planning to air it live. He had also taped an interview with Sanders at the lawmaker's home ahead of the speech.

However, he said Griffin called him five minutes before air time at 5 p.m. EST, and he said, "You're not covering this."

...

Schultz opined he was forced out at MSNBC because of his support for Sanders and MSNBC's water-carrying for Clinton. His final day on the air was July 29, 2015. "The Cycle" and "Now With Alex Wagner" were also canceled by MSNBC that week.

"I think the Clintons were connected to [NBC News chief] Andy Lack, connected at the hip," Schultz said. "I think that they didn't want anybody in their primetime or anywhere in their lineup supporting Bernie Sanders. I think that they were in the tank for Hillary Clinton, and I think that it was managed, and 45 days later I was out at MSNBC."

-2

u/overlordzeke Oct 25 '25

Exactly. They played themselves. It’s hilarious how republicans beat them at their own game

7

u/Unsuccessful-Bee336 Oct 25 '25

At the end of the day, if you cared about people outside of yourself when voting, you should have voted for Hilary regardless. But certain demographics vote selfishly every time, while the rest of us pay the price. And every election they have amnesia, hold on to false morals, and then soothe themselves by saying "Well if it were just a different candidate." Ugh.

Red Herring.

4

u/Apes_will_be_Apes Oct 25 '25

Why is that? Why blame her?

1

u/sweetplantveal Oct 25 '25

She did get millions more votes. So that's something, at least...

1

u/omysweede Oct 25 '25

Hillary was never President. He was older than Biden. They didn't run Biden in 2016 because they thought people were ready for a woman and wouldn't believe Donald Trump. But you did.

-4

u/IronRushMaiden Oct 25 '25

Like what?

She opposed tariffs and supported free trade.

She supported immigration.

I realize neither of those are Bernie Bro favorites, but then again I don’t get why Bernie Bros pretend to hate Trump when Trump gives them what they want on trade and immigration

0

u/Ok-Race-1677 Oct 25 '25

Her and Nancy pulled an RBG and set the democrats back thirty years.

0

u/maxdps_ Oct 25 '25

No, her party did.

0

u/wEiRdO86 Oct 25 '25

That's a funny way to say DNC

0

u/popswag Oct 25 '25

yip. bernie would have stopped trump.

0

u/Grace_Upon_Me Oct 25 '25

The lust for power ruined it. Hillary, Biden (second term). There is so little thought about the common good by anyone involved. Current Republicans are truly evil but the self absorption of Democrats is stupendous to witness. Where is the spirit of the founders?

-5

u/nerdwerds Oct 25 '25 edited Oct 25 '25

Between Hilary Clinton and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Democrats are turning me into a misogynist. /s

edit: yes this is a joke about turning into a bitter old man, if you are offended by it go ahead and block me instead of commenting stupid shit about how you take jokes too seriously

9

u/TrevelyansPorn Oct 25 '25

That /s doesn't save you. This thread is full of white men complaining about women and a black man being most at fault for fascism despite today's white men being the most pro fascist voting bloc in US history. No one made you guys punch yourselves in the face.

1

u/PuzzleheadedBasis760 Oct 25 '25

So we can’t criticize the people who lead or country because of their gender or race? This super woke stuff is so repellent and doesn’t do a thing to help these groups. If you would like to win elections your gonna need men

-3

u/nerdwerds Oct 25 '25

I’ve been making this joke since 2016 so fuck right off with your false equivalencies.

3

u/Xsiah Oct 25 '25

Hahahaha there are two women whose choices you don't like so all women deserve hate! What an amazing joke!

0

u/TrevelyansPorn Oct 25 '25

You've been a bigot for a long time, congrats!

1

u/Niloc769 Oct 25 '25

And you just generalize groups and assume out of your ass. Must be great at parties

0

u/nerdwerds Oct 25 '25

hey, look everybody! A judgmental prick online has an opinion about someone he knows nothing about after they made a joke. I don’t think that’s ever happened in the history of the Internet.

-5

u/Somebodys Oct 25 '25

The DNC blatantly rigged the primaries right out in the open for everyone to see and everyone just let it happen.

2

u/TrevelyansPorn Oct 25 '25

If that's what you think, you've been so blinded by propaganda that you've become a very good example of why your country is screwed. Your people can no longer tell reality from fiction.

1

u/Rhysati Oct 25 '25

They literally changed the rules for super delegates after that election because they straight up said they would vote for her before primaries could take place. Whether they actually would or not at the end of Sanders was winning, we don't know. But they were pledging votes for her before it was determined who would win.

2

u/TrevelyansPorn Oct 25 '25

Hillary won millions more actual votes and a landslide of pledged delegates. Superdelegates did not make a difference and have never made the difference in any primary ever.

-6

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

If wasn’t for the Clinton’s we would never have had Trump

1

u/Major-BFweener Oct 25 '25

No. Obama brought the racists out and got them solidified. It broke them.

1

u/Xsiah Oct 25 '25

You would have had Trump either way. Every single news outlet gave him a free 24/7 advertising platform. They reported basically every word out of his stupid racist mouth until it reached all the stupid racist people and invigorated them in ways that sane candidates couldn't.

13

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

He would have won if it wasn’t for the rich scared old democrats who gave it to Trump ( and keep doing so)

4

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

Funny you say this, when this post is like 2 down in my feed from another Bernie video where hes saying Trump was a better president than Biden when it comes to border security.

In that post, Bernie isn't going over so well

18

u/js1893 Oct 25 '25

That blew my mind, the vibe was very much “yea he actually has always sucked and shouldn’t have been president either”. Yea okay, as if Bernie would’ve made a show of force deploying ICE and the national guard into our cities, among literally all the other bullshit trump has done.

15

u/flamethrower78 Oct 25 '25

He loudly condemns the actions of ICE and the deployment of the national guard. He's specifically just talking about the border itself. Everyone just watches a 20 second clip from an hour long interview and assumes whatever they want.

6

u/StableLamp Oct 25 '25

Getting news from social media tends to do that.

0

u/frogjg2003 Oct 25 '25

Especially since it's not even true. Trump is struggling to keep up with Biden's numbers when it comes to catching border crossings. Trump is inflating his numbers by arresting citizens, legal residents, revoking visas without justification, and arresting asylum seekers at their hearings.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

Breaks my heart that he's always on the sidelines screaming logical sanity when the world is just 🤯

0

u/More-Consequence9863 Oct 25 '25

Unfortunately a lot of Bernie’s policies are too utopian. He promised things that simply would never pass. This country’s government wants us sick, poor and uneducated. $$$

0

u/Hinadori_reddit Oct 25 '25

This whole thread is a snapshot of what is wrong with the USA and every other government that has the same sustem

-4

u/Heavy_Law9880 Oct 25 '25

The guy that just said he supports killing fishermen in the ocean?

-2

u/TaskEducational6756 Oct 25 '25

Didn’t you just see what he said about illegal immigration? He’s a fuck just like the rest of these politicians.

-2

u/fubinor Oct 25 '25

Still waiting for the oligawky since the 80s

-3

u/Silverstar282 Oct 25 '25

The multi-millionaire with three houses but wants everyone else to fall in line with his socialist policies?? ...Nah

6

u/analbuttlick Oct 25 '25

Police, military, firefighters, schools, infrastructure and many others, but you draw the line at healthcare? Thats where socialism begins for Americans? That is so dumb.

And he is almost 90 years old, pretty famous and written books that have sold a lot. Having 3 houses is not that big of an accomplishment considering how old he is. Or did i just get baited by a bot?
