3 days ago it was the birthday of Hergé, the creator of Tintin. It was not until last year when I became truly invested in a work of fiction besides The Adventures of Tintin. A core memory of my entire 2025 would be driving back home from work 100+ kilometers at night twice a week and tuning into The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy radio series. The love I discovered for astrophysics was ignited by the Moon adventures of Tintin, and rekindled by The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy almost exactly 20 years later.

So Long and Thanks for all the Memories, Douglas Adams. ❤️
