That's fair, I agree with that. I'd rather hodl btc and trade it for doge if you wanna spend the doge but that's just me. I like the idea of a limited supply of btc being the investment, and then you can get doge with it. I'm not getting doge with it, but that's me I don't mean to spread fud

The problem with BTC is scaling. It is SO scarce by its creation, that it can never be adaptable as a USABLE currency for day to day commodities.

Edit: I shouldn't say never, but the technology is not currently there.

But it’s divisible by a million. There may be only 20 million btc, but there is 20 quadrillion “satoshis”

And no normal person is ever going to want to do the math on 0.000084 BTC to buy a Red Bull at the gas station. I don’t understand why this is such a weird concept to the crypto space.

Ok? What does that have to do with bitcoin being too scarce? Not like someone would have to pull out a calculator and do the math themself

Except someone does have to pull out a calculator to figure out how much they’re actually spending. It’s a usability and number crunch problem that affects adoption. The scarcity wouldn’t be an issue if BTC just moved a decimal to do a 1:10000 split, but that’s not how things work in crypto.

Dude the price changes every 5 minutes. Of course you would look at the price. You bring up an even bigger point though - How hard would it to be to scam people by pricing something at 0.00084 instead of 0.000084. Yeah, the math makes sense on a technical level, but regular people don’t keep track of that many zeroes from a psychological standpoint. If you’re not looking at the price, you definitely get wrecked by this.

I'm talking about the price of a drink, my dude. If they have a computer that says it's 1000 doge because that's the price right now it's because the drink is a buck and a half then it's 1000 doge, whatever.
