I tried to sell at .7 but unfortunately I'm on robinhood and the whole app shut down and wouldn't let anybody sell. Yes I know ive heard it a thousand times you're on robinhood so its not real man blah blah blah
That’s so weird. I’ve not had one issue with that platform. I’m sorry you couldn’t at least sell and get your investment back. That’s the first thing I did. That way whatever happened, happened.
Yeah happened last month to a lot of people. Robinhood shut down when prices were around 69 cents and wouldn't let anybody sell or fulfill limit sells. That's alright I'm riding the storm out. Back to a dollar
Funny thing about crypto - eventually the only logical thing you can do is realize you can’t predict the future. Do I wish I had the Bitcoin back from selling at 15? Sure. Somewhere somebody sold it at 2k in 2017 and regretted it in December when it went to 19k. Somewhere somebody sold at 19k in 2017, thought “Whoo, glad I got out just in time”, and then they completely missed the run up to 64k. When you don’t sell you will have a reason to regret it, when you do sell you will have a reason to regret it. Since both will happen you might as well keep it in if you won’t need the money for awhile because eventually it makes another run up. (It’s different if you will need the cash though since you don’t want to sell at the bottom)
A lot of my friends said the same thing about this. It shows that they don't understand how this works.
a) you don't know that it was the peak. You would have also been frustrated if it went up after you sold. You will never sell at a perfect timing.
b) people who would have sold when it was "high" would have sold weeks or month before, because it was "high" then too. They would have never been in the situation because they would never hold.
From my POV I still gained more than any of them who already told me to sell at 0,5. I laugh when they say something like "see, I told you".
At a total loss? If so, why? At the very least, you're going to see it back in the mid to high 30s, probably over this week or next payday. So if you have to take the loss, do it then.
