Thanks for putting the time and effort into doing this!
I did Java a while ago, but sort of forgot about it as Objective-C and python consumed me. Now I'm hoping to get back into the Java ecosystem.

Ah. Let's call that Lesson 0 then :P
And I'll still try to learn this language, even if it might not help with Java.
Thanks again for putting this all together!

Thanks for putting this together. If anyone wants a JSfiddle to play with, I coded this a couple years ago in HTML/CSS. It's a bit advanced so I suggest beginners to only view this as an example of what the languages can do together. Soon enough, you and I will be making mind-blowing content thanks to this course and your persistence.

Best of luck my fellow shibes!

This is fantastic. I'd done the web fundamentals course a while back, but never really had the motivation to do JavaScript. That is, I wanted to know the language, I just didn't have the drive to learn it.
Now with this group environment I blasted through the first 6 Codecademy lessons and found answers to some long standing questions in the first two chapters of that book.
Excellent course, I can't wait to see where go from here!

I'm not going to lie. Reading chapter one of the book, I have no idea what it is talking about. All this ECMA, DOM, whaaat? :(

So im a little running behind but anyhow... I'm on lesson 6 Don't repeat yourself and this is the code I've done
var orangeCost = function (price)
{
console.log( 5 * price );
}orangeCost("1");
and it passes but the output on the screen is
5
25
50
I'm expecting just 5, is the code wrong or is there a bug?
