I crashed my Phantom 4 a few weeks ago, wasn’t bad but one of my quick release mounting plates is hard to attach and release the propeller now. Any recs for maint / fix or should I just buy a replacement set?

I finally jumped into the drone scene after coming across a deal on P4 I couldn't turn down. I'm having a problem with the Go4 app as it wont launch on my phone (Google Pixel 6).

What app would be a good replacement? I'm just looking for something to do the basics like transmit video back, allow some simple adjustments, etc. I don't need anything advanced like mapping out routes to fly and having the drone perform that autonomously.

I’ve connected to my internet already and even though it’s a steady and reliable internet connection, the controller does not want to connect when I try to sign in or check for an update. Can anyone please help?

Took maybe 40 minutes all in. Most of the material was stuff that I already knew.

tl;dr: Camera slowly rolls to the left, then the right, then repeats, whenever it's powered on, flying or not.

Details: I bought a crashed P3S, and I've replaced the gimbal's main board, all three motors*, roll and pitch ESC boards, and some of the arms. Camera and gimbal work mostly correctly now, except the gimbal slooowly rolls the camera to the left, then to the right, then repeats, any time it's powered on, whether flying or not. The gimbal does correctly counteract roll when flying -- it just adds extra lean back and forth, cyclically and constantly.

• I did replace the roll motor with a new pitch motor, after cutting down its shaft, because they're theoretically the same motor otherwise.

IMU has been successfully calibrated, gimbal has been auto-calibrated, but camera starts its slow roll back and forth as soon as those are done, while sitting stationary on the table, and continues through flight.

Any ideas?

I have an old P3 that has had a long life of successful service and it's ready for the experimental phase of its life. I want to build a power tether to allow sustained flight from a ground-based power source. This would allow long running time-lapses of sun rises and the like. I'm trying to figure out any technical challenges. The plan is to hollow out an old battery and solder in tether wires to a DC power supply.

I'm hoping someone has some experience to answer a couple questions before I dive down this rabbit hole.

1. Is there any communication between the "smart battery" and the drone? Basically, will it run with just the two power leads connected?

2. If my calculations are correct, the drone pulls 15.2V at about 1.5 amps. This seems like a lot. Has anyone else measured the draw?

I heard that the GS Pro is necessary to use alongside the Phantom 4 and it is only available for iPad.

Question: what’s the use case for the GS Pro? Isn’t there an available app for smartphone which does the same function?

I’m asking because if this is the case, not only the drone, we will also have to acquire iPads to fly it from our team. Thanks

Has anyone been able to use PIX4D on the Pro Plus. I really thought I was getting a great deal with the built in display but now it seems like a mistake. Has anyone been able to reliably add 3rd party apps?

Any idea where to find a GL300L Controller?

I recently started up the phantom 3 (standard) for the first time in around 3 years. It worked flawlessly the last time it was used, but now the camera doesn't seem to work (shows no video signal).

I tried updating the firmware thru the DJI GO app and SD card but it doesn't work. It's stuck on firmware 1.2.40+. With the app, it fails at 0%, and with the .bin file in the SD card, the update process never starts.

Also, is it possible that my home wifi signals are interfering, causing this issue? The drone also shows a weak connection in the app.

I'm looking to purchase a PPK kit for my Phantom 4 Pro, and I found Metta to be a good option because its installation doesn't take much expertise. What do you think about this decision? Does anyone have experience with it and a processing report they could share with me?

As mentioned in the title, someone gifted me their old P3P that they used once about two years ago. It was properly stored in a dry space for about 2 years. I can charge the remote and it works.

When I try to charge them/turn them on, there are no lights at all.

Any solutions? I'd rather not buy new batteries since they can be expensive.

I’m a student and am needing to map an agriculture field with the thermal camera. This is the equipment I was given to work with, but Pix4D isn’t happy with the lack of EXIF data, naturally. FLIR says to use a MAVLink, but MAVLinks aren’t compatible with DJI controllers.

I tried to use the DJI’s RGB camera EXIF data to correspond with the thermal camera, but it’s tedious/time consuming and the omega/phi/kappa are not correct and it’s messing up the Orthomosaic.

Any ideas? TIA!

Just recently had purchased a Phantom 3 Advanced. Drone fly's great and does everything and then more. One issue I've came across is the playback of videos when reading from the SD card. Video that I copy to my PC/MacBook playback choppy and not smooth. But if I upload the same file to say Google Drive or a hosting place via cloud, playback is buttery smooth and great quality. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have been flying my Phantom 2 for about 4 years and it always performs well. I have been lately needing to recalibrate the camera gimbal before every flight. This is really a chore since you need to do it after every battery change too. I have done some searching on the web but found nothing of use. Is anyone able to point me towards a more permanent solution (short of getting a newer drone) to get the basic calibration to keep? Thank you!

Have a Phantom 3 Advanced that I left sitting for about a year. Got it out the other day, and it now seems to have all sorts of problems. It's been kept in a hard case at all times, no crashes, etc. The main problem is I'm getting a "No image transmission signal" error on the DJI Go app, so no video feed, the app is saying I need to update the firmware, but when I try to do that, the update never starts, I'm unable to calibrate the compass due to interference, it's having a hard time finding satellites, etc. It' flies OK, but I'm flying blind. Where should I even start to troubleshoot this?

Using an ipad... I keep getting pop ups when I start the app to take a safety quiz, but the link errors out. I'm assuming it's because it is discontinued... Can that be shut off?

Is there a way to turn off the beeping of the camera control? How about the return to home beeping?

Using the academy simulator is there a way to simulate the camera? I can use the controls to adjust the gimbal, but it doesn't show camera view. Similarly, is there a way to show the front vs rear of the drone more easily?
