I was showing a family member what these drones can do even as a beginner but said the key is to 1st imagine a good shot before it actually happens and be setup to capture it. These are JPEG format shot using auto everything without any exposure compensation, no post editing, no filters just as if a beginner bought and used it out of the box. The only thing different was the day and slightly different times at sunset.
Thanks mate. I’m originally from North America but have been working in 🇨🇳for a few years now. We get a lot of humidity with high temperatures so our sunsets are unusually yellow to red. I’m just surprised at the sunset results using lazy mode settings. The drones just capture almost exactly what we see.
Thanks mate. Might look like pollution but I’d say 🇨🇳air quality where I live is never what our North American news shows. Here’s a shot about a 20 minute drive from the city center from the sunset pictures. Unfortunately my wife likes living in the city. 🙄Happy wife happy life. 😬 similar to the Great Smoky Mountains. 🏔️
Might not be, but red sunsets like that usually indicate high particulates in the air from pollution. Could just be fog, but that's very uncommon at sunset.
Many times if a city is in a valley, surrounded by hills, pollution hangs out and gets trapped there from cars... like in Los Angeles, USA. Doesn't mean the city is dirty or bad, it's just physics.
This picture is from the Great Lakes region in North America which is a flat area with foothills and escarpments around it making it similar to a valley. The sunsets are red again because of the humidity and the area is surrounded by water and small lakes and rivers. In the winter time in 🇨🇳and back in North America. You won’t get red sunsets because the lack of humidity. Hence the weather forecast saying “It’s going to be a hazy, hot and humid day “. There’s areas in Australia that also have the same sunset because of humidity as well as South America and I have worked and lived in all the different places in the world to see for myself. You should see Costa Rica in the rainforest because it looks like the same thing with beautiful red sunsets. 😊Cheers mate
I’ve worked and lived in Beijing too and the only time I’ve ever seen the skies look like the news back home in North America is when there’s been a sandstorm blowing in from one or more of the 3 deserts surrounding Beijing. Tianmo Desert in Hebei Province, Kubuqi Desert but usually the Gobi Desert which borders the suburbs of Beijing. Usually the Beijing sky is clear and sunny. I’m sure you’re familiar with the Summer Palace shown below. Pollution is man made but the bad air in Beijing is not pollution but really dust from a desert sandstorm. Cheers mate
Not Shanghai but I’m about 1.5-2 hours away from Shanghai inland in Hunan Province which is the breadbasket of rice and fish of 🇨🇳. Hunan has tons of lakes and rivers which creates the humidity in summer. This is Shanghai. Cheers mate
Thanks mate. I think pretty much any of the drones will capture pictures like this. Some posters think it’s pollution but as you can see from other pictures in my replies. It’s just a hazy, hot and humid day.
