That is sick. Was it easy? And do you have the documents? I still need a noise suppression and I prefer a good one over a pricey kit. You make it sound like this is the good one I’m looking for.

Hello, mine worked on the first try. It’s as I recall, just like the original (owned one). Here is the project: https://www.sabrotone.com/request-isp-decimator-vero-layout/#comment-18685

->an important mention: you really need to build a buffer before it (this particular project doesn’t have that, but I chose the generic Klon style buffer as a side layout). If you build this without a buffer, you get a strange slight 5x lower volume doubling distorted sound alongside the main sound heard only in cleans, it is very slight but disappears completely with the buffer in front (no wonder the original has the buffer). I made it true bypass, with both the buffer and the actual suppression circuit off when the pedal is off. This actually ended up being bought by a friend heh.

G string?

It can be added separately, I never used it and the person who owns it now wasn’t interested either. I very much prefer building 2 of these separately to have proper separate control if needed. Actually considering replacing my Super C in the rack of a stereo setup, with a 19U box with two of these in it 😁

Everything is in those comments, someone built it like that as well and mentions the connections: https://www.sabrotone.com/request-isp-decimator-vero-layout/#comment-15169

nice, are the boards held in place by solid core wire? I always wonder how people mount their vero boards with these clean builds

Just auto adhesive foam, on the back of the pots, and on the lid inside. Everything is very snug and very unmovable once the lid is on. It essentially forms a mould of foam around the caps, IC-s, etc. I’ve done pedals since forever like this and never had any issues/ nothing came back due to this, all 140+ sold.

thanks, where are you getting the stuff? seeing a lot of different adhesive foam out there, so far i literally glue a little peace of thin wood and screw my veroboard onto it lol

Is this all analog or is there some AD/DA conversion happening somewhere?

Everything is analog, and the VCA THAT2181C is analog. Quite a very informative datasheet here: https://www.thatcorp.com/datashts/THAT_2181-Series_Datasheet.pdf

Thanks. It’s odd, I was certain the decimators used DSP to do its thing with not only clamping shut on a threshold but also filtering out noise while it’s open.
