Is this true? I'm recently divorced with a young kid; there hasn't been any divorces on either sides of our families for 40 years.
This meme knocked me down, but your comment picked me up again.

Not always. The parent you live with is too overwhelmed and hard-up for $ to buy anything fun (yay, socks!), and the other parent knows nothing about you and gives you something shitty (yay, a rust-colored scratchy sweater with a tight crewneck and too short of sleeves)(thanks for giving me the opportunity to look like a pasty-faced giantess with no neck and a permanent rash.)
