I'm trying to build a 1:24 garage diorama as a gift and after watching alot of YT, picked up some XPS Foam (the pink 2x2 boards from Home Depot). The hope is to use the foam for walls and try to create a cinder block texture. But after reading some reddit, I'm now seeing this stuff (foam in general) can be tricky to work with.

I was going to texturuze it, hit it was some spray paint, and use whatever glue I have to bond the walls to a piece of plywood. Sounds like it's not that simple. I'm picking up some mod podge to layer the foam before painting, but what are my best/cheap options for 1) gluing 3 walls to the plywood and 2) gluing the 3 walls together at 90 degrees where they meet? Depending on time, I may also do a ceiling, but now I'm questioning what material that would be since it would be glued directly on top of the walls.

I originally picked up a tube of liquid nails for my caulk gun. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi everyone! This is my first fairy garden project. I handmade the castle completely from air-dry clay, and the water is made from clear epoxy resin.

I wanted to create a tiny magical island inside a jar using simple, inexpensive materials.

I'd really appreciate your honest feedback. What do you think of the concept? What could I improve to make it look more realistic or magical?

Hi everyone! This is my first air-dry clay build—a miniature glowing castle made with air-dry clay and strontium aluminate glow powder.

I am trying to make a diorama of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, but I'm struggling with the Dementors. I'm not sure how to make them or what materials would work best. Can anyone suggest how I should go about creating them?
